Sure I'll bite. Can always use some more motivation.

The optimal way to it is at separate times of day ie: weights in the morning & cardio at night or vice versa.I work 12 hours a day,so I have to get it all done at once.
-
For the longest time I would do cardio then lift. Then one day I tried it the other way around.I was able to lift more weight & do more exercises, but when I went to do my cardio I could only do half of what I normally do. You only have so much energy. You have to choose what you want to do more;burn fat with cardio or build…

I just wanna get ripped.I'm still like 30lbs overweight & I've reached a plateau it seems.I'm watching my diet too.

Great advice everyone.I appreciate it.I DID get my numbers mixed up,sorry bout that.I wasn't intentionally lying.

Okay thanks Mr.Knight

Thanks for the replies everyone.I was mostly looking for an explanation of what happens if you do too much cardio & why it's detrimental.I'll just look it up.
-
I have to stick with lower body workouts for now, until my shoulder is feeling better,or until after my surgery, cplate.I do some aerobics to mix it up some.

Yes thanks Samantha.I know about good form. It's the reason I tore both my rotator cuffs.I'm extremely careful now.

Yes it is about 20mi on the bike, alysme.

I do most of all my cardio on an exercise bike with the tension at about 3/4.I can't run because of bad knees & lower back.
-
Thank you wrecktechno.I appreciate your advice. I'll start doing some lunges & squats.Maybe some ab exercises too.I'm trying to lose 2lbs a week. It's hard though.Sometimes I don't lose anything or maybe a half a pound or something. It's frustrating to say the least.I do have a habit of overdoing everything I get into.

I don't drink diet soda anymore but when I did,I only liked the lemon/lime ones like diet 7-Up or Sprite. The cola diets never tasted right to me. What you're losing in calories, you're gaining in sodium.Check the label. They're loaded with it,plus a bunch of chemicals our bodies don't know what to do with.

I know how it feels.I get offered free pizza & pastries all the time.I always say "No thanks" & they look at me the same way every time with a look of disbelief & mild offense saying "Are you sure?" I say "I just ate,but thanks anyway" .Oh well, you can't please all of the people all of the time.

I'm bot sure what "body beast" is but it sounds to me like you over worked your biceps.Let them rest for a day or two.Ice may help, but rest is the best cure.

Thanks for your reply beesareyellow.I've never power lifted aside from "maxing out" occasionally.I've always been more body building orientated. It's good to learn new stuff. :)

Thanks tsimblist.I buy a lot of stuff from them.Never thought of checking out their forum though.

2-5min?! between next lift?Wow.I'm just the opposite.I rest for no more than 20-25sec between sets & maybe a minute between the next exercise.I go for the fat burning AND the muscle build.I read on Lou Ferrigno's FB page that you should never rest any more than 1 minute between sets & that should be closer to 30sec.You…
