Got in an hour of snowshoeing. Boom.

I turned 52 over the weekend. I have now outlived my parents. They both died (separately) at 51. I'm relieved to have passed that looming number, but so terribly sad to know how young they really were when they died. 51 isn't old, nor 52, as I imagine neither is 62 or 72. I believe you are as old as you feel. I feel 35.…

Glad you're back @PartyPerson !

@poscur, it's ok. BTDT. Take some time for yourself, re-center, re-evaluate, remember Why you began, get back on track, one step at a time. We are here to listen, hug and cheer. You Can Do It! I believe you can. Do you? 😉

Here's a virtual it'll be all right (((hug)))

I had heartburn at bedtime after a rich big lunch. 13 months ago, I ate tums nearly every night because of heartburn. I haven't had heartburn in a year and just realized it when I had to pop some tums!

Kay, I know how you feel. Both my parents died at 51. I'm 51. My friends and family were forbidden from doing anything other than wish me Happy Birthday. I'm 2 weeks away from 52 and outliving my parents. Sad milestone. (((hugs))) Feel free to add me.

@StrawberryJam40 , we have an active positive group: Men & Women in their 50s starting anew in 2019 (not sure how to link on my phone) - come on over, not trying to take away from this thread, but the other is for '50s'.

Hello Coloradoans! I'm up the hill from you, @solieco1 ! I'm in Florissant. <waving>

What is an exercise hack that helps you get through a workout? I keep a spreadsheet. Yep, I'm one of those, lol. I like filling in the blanks. I read the forums if I'm on the treadmill.

After killing it at the gym yesterday, alas, the weights took delayed revenge today... I'm getting sorer and sorer... afraid my hubby will have to dress me in the morning and drive me to work! LOL!!! On the treadmill trying to work these aches out.

Absolutely killed today. Did the exercises for the squat/lunge/push up challenge and then got back to the gym for the first time in <ahem> 9 months. Over an hour lifting, and pleasantly surprised I didn't backslide too much, and actually had to increase the weights on squats and bench. Woo Hoo! Then a half hour hike when I…

I just slowly jogged 30 minutes reading the forums. Like walking pace, but I was jogging, lol. That still counts!

Yay, Colorado women! I'm in Teller County, west of Colo Spgs.

@poscur I'm not picky, lol! Yesterday it was gummies in the kitchen, and i am not a fan, lol. @BonnieHosk85 I think you are who I got the idea from!!

[quote="What are you worried about this week? [/quote] I have GOT to get my grazing under control. I am going to schedule a morning and afternoon snack time, just like you do with little kids. 😂

You all are so inspiring. I have about 30 pages left of reading the entire thread, but had to jump ahead to add my own. Today is DAY 300 of 10,000 steps a day straight!!! And did 65 minutes of snowshoeing today.

Question if the day! How do you reward yourself for a good day, week or month? Other than food or drink? I still see food as a reward. BUT, I'm logging my rewards, lol. Tonight is family movie night and we are having cheese fondue. Logged, no guilt. Friends have gifted me with their old workout clothes. Time to get serious…

I agree. Many times I cook something for the family and something different for myself. Or I will eat some of the protein I made with a big salad. Or, yes, sometimes I will sit down with my Slimfast while they eat, lol. I do agree to let your wife know beforehand so she isnt offended you dont eat what she made. Good luck!

Favorite exercise is hiking. With the short days, I'm not doing much hiking. Getting on the treadmill to get my daily steps in. I love yoga and weight lifting. Going to get back to lifting as soon as I get Christmas packed away, lol. (I feel guilty saying I'm going to the gym when I haven't gotten that packed up...)

Mike, Mike, Mike, what day is it??? First day back to school for kiddo, perfect new beginning to reign in my snacking. Going to stop at our mom-n-pop coffee shop for a treat for her, but I've already made, and in process of drinking, my protein shake, so no caramel machiato for me! Already logged the days meals AND snacks.…

What is the hardest part of the day for you to stay healthy and why? Sitting at work, with a snack stocked kichen How do you stay on track? Bring my own pre-weighed, pre-logged snacks. And if I do indulge (orange cream birthday cake today), I log it. Cant hide it from myself, or my butt. I log it.

Great job!!! You can do this!

Happy Birthday @dgraf123!!! @PartyPerson, how about yoga? I love yoga, and you go to your ability. Good luck! I'm from the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I started back working 3 months ago (after stay-at-home-momming for 12 years) and I am keeping up on my steps, but I totally agree with @channingg3649 about the…

I'm in. I'm 51 and lost 30 pounds last year, and then kinda lost interest. Kept up with my steps, scale didnt move, but lost additional inches. Ready to recommit for the next 30 pounds. Have been 'thinking' about getting back to the heavy lifting, so i now need to get back to the gym. Looking forward to killing 2019 with…

51 here. Lost 30 lbs last year. At least that much to go, and will evaluate when I get there. That will put me at 170, lowest for decades. I mostly hike, but treadmill with the sun disappearing before I can get home. I'm on Day 290 of 10,000 steps a day streak, WooHoo! Need to get back to lifting weights. I try to track my…

Great job on your loss! Its CICO (calories in/calories out), no matter if you're 30 or 60. Now, over 50 can present different challenges; hormones, menopause, aches and pains we didn't have at 30, but it still is math. Plus it's more important for us mature ladies to strength train to keep our bones strong. I'm 51, lost 30…

Can someone give me a quick breakdown on the difference between the Flex and One? (Thinking about getting something) TIA
