I just found this group. I'd love to get in on this. I have a Fitbit Charge HR. My goal is 8,000. I really aim for over, but I've found that some of my workouts don't count for as many steps as it seems they should :) 11/1 9,032 11/2 7,387 11/3 7,000 11/4 12,123 11/5 12,126 11/6 8,418 11/7 8,087 Avg this week 9,168

I just set up my charge hr today. I'm sure there will be a learning curve to make sure I'm taking advantage of all there is to offer.

His love language is acts of service. So I clean and cook meals and such. Making stuffed peppers from scratch right now and I don't even like green peppers. It's hard to continue to meet someone else's needs when your needs aren't being met. The problem with your spouse speaking a different love language is that you don't…

Now I'm not saying that every time I get a compliment we are going to have sex. BUT more compliments would more likely mean more sex. I actually have tried giving him compliments but he brushes me off and then doesn't reciprocate.

Agreed! But with 4 kids the afternoon is not an option

EXACTLY!

I love your perspective. I suppose I'm just losing my confidence. "knowing" he does turns into hoping and/or wishing.

I'd take sexy, hot, smokin', beautiful, pretty.... just about anything positive. I've heard that some men are verbal and some physical. Seems my hubby isn't too good at feedback either way.

You're not alone then. I know we don't need men for our self esteem but it sure would be nice to have an extra boost from our significant other!

Lucky wifes! Obviously marriages work out best when sex drive and compliments are equal and balanced for both partners. Any advice on how to "train" my hubby?

My hubby must be as emotionally constipated as I thought then.

This is one th we used at the Physical Therapy clinic I worked at in Ohio. Also holding a regular hammer in your hand and rotating back and forth across your whole range of motion.

Yum! Thanks for the ideas!

I just started with some essential oils and am cutting way down on yeast containing products. I also am decreasing sugar intake (even substitutes) and following a modified candida diet. We'll just have to see how it goes :)

Most days (especially hard workout days) I leave 300-400 calories uneaten. My average calories taken in is over 1000 less than my TDEE.

I have a HRM that calculates calories burned based on my HR and stats.

I am concerned that I am always under on carbs but over on sugar... could this be preventing my weight loss?
-
I am also in need of active friends. Gets a little lonely when no one cheers you on! I'll be one of your cheerleaders if you'll be one of mine!

I am not diabetic or even pre diabetic but my body does seem sensitive to some of the same triggers. I am not losing weight despite having my calories goal set at 2#/wi loss so I'm wondering if sugar is to blame...?

That is definitely true. When you have to record it you think more about what kinds of foods you are eating also you think long and hard about that treat you want or putting your kids leftovers in your mouth.

I was unable to continue BF my little guy (for a few reasons unrelated to losing weight) but I used domperidone with 2 of my children to help build a stronger milk supply. I can tell you where to get it for an awesome price. PM me if you're interested.

My favorite saying is that I have an hourglass figure... it's just more like an hour and a half :) I am happy being a curvy woman. I just want my curves to be in all the right places after having my 4 kids.

My son has had slow gain as well. At about 5 weeks we discovered that a posterior tongue tie was responsible for his low milk transfer, difficulty swallowing, slow weight gain, clicking, and my still sore and damaged nipples. He had a minor oral surgery to release the overly tight tissues. So far nursing has finally gotten…

I totally agree on the Dr Pepper and Diet does NOT taste like the real thing. Plus I'm convinced your body treats diet soda the same as regular. I do still have one from time to time but I go for the real thing when I do so it actually sates the craving. Also, peanut butter rice krispy treats and maybe regular ones too.…

Cici's cinnamon rolls are AWESOME! I guess it's a good thing we moved to a state that doesn't even have Cici's.

Chocolate is one of the few known sources of the essential trace mineral chromium. I think that's both dark and milk. But as always... life is about moderation :)

At first I thought you meant pm.... I honestly can't think of anything that would get me motivated to get up at 515 to go to the gym :) Good for you though!

Heart Rate Monitor is the best way to know.

Well I'm not at a healthy weight (unfortunately). So I am eating a net 2000 calories a day anyway because of my activity level and the extra weight I am already carrying around. I am not going hungry by any means, but I am trying to limit the amount of weight gain (not eliminate it altogether) and yes I am taking my…
