As an update - I love jump rope but can’t do it indoors due to low ceiling or outside due to bad weather (Chicago!!). I can’t fit an exercise machine in my place either. I already have exercise tools that take up a bunch of space. However, I have just discovered there a rope less jump ropes! I’m definitely getting one 😊…

I actually do when the weather is doable. I love in Chicago so right now we get a low of snow and wind. I walk from train everyday. I just wanted something to raise my heat rate for about 20-30 minutes.

I do resistance training three times a week and need to do cardio twice a week. I used to dance to the fitness Marshall on YouTube - which is what I have remembered yesterday and ended up doing it this morning 😁 I just didn’t want to lose my stamina with jump rope in winter.

I workout with kettlebells and I absolutely love it! On top of that I do Callanetics (a lot like Pilates but it uses your own body weight), Power Yoga & Just Dance 2014. SELF magazine came out with their Spring 2014 Special - Healthy Eating Made Easy issue. It's $11 but it has fantastic healthy recipes as well as really great weight loss tips. I bought a copy for myself as well as recommended it to my other MFP pals. Worth a look!

Food scale is a worthy investment! It will give you pleasant surprises and not so pleasant LOL! But, it's the reason I finally started to lose weight. The scale I got is by Ozeri and I got it on Amazon for about $18. It does its job well :)

Lifting while at calorie deficit will burn the fat around the muscles. That's how you get that toned look.
