I take my husband's guide dog (2 year old, black female lab) for a fun walk every few days. We go three miles at a very fast clip. She loves getting out to strut her stuff and I love the exercise and company. Woof!

I rather bike than walk any day. Better calorie burn, less stress on the body, and you can't beat getting out and exploring, while exercising! Ride every other day and try to ride between 15 to 20 miles.

Well I have a 2 lb hula hoop and it just depends how much you move around and the intensity. Tonight I hooped for 30 mins and was just walking around a bit not to strenuous and burned 125 cal per HRM.

I have been using Leslie's DVDs for years off and on. I just picked up the 30 day challenge DVD and it is great. It is an hour workout walk and strength training. I wear my HRM and burn close to 300 calories. Of course it is not like an hour bicycle ride, but it is a way to use different muscles.

I love my hoop! It took me a couple weeks to perfect my hooping. But once I got it, I had a blast. I try and hoop a couple of times per week while I watch the evening news.
