My father was diagnosed in 2010, but we knew he was sick a couple years earlier. We lost his sister in September, 2012 - the day of her funeral was the last day dad drove a vehicle. suggestion - don't look at is as starting over, look at it as acknolwedging you slipped and getting back on track. Starting over kind of suggests to my mind that you stopped. You didn't stop, you just got a wee bit sidetracked and are focused again. Good luck to you!

I started at 197, now weigh 167. My original goal was 150 and then I would re-evaluate. My goal now is not a weight, it is a way that I picture my body - a way my clothes fit, and a way I feel. I have finally gotten over the idea of reaching a goal weight.

Without trying to sound rude I am going to tell you the same thing I tell my brother and best friend - WHEN you have a stroke or heart attack, what is your employer going to do? Simple - they will kick you aside for the next person that will work that much. Make time for yourself, you are worth it

I have made myself tolerate my coffee black as a general rule. But while on a trip this weekend I indulged in a cup with a pack of Stevia, some half & half, and a few dashes of nutmeg....yummy

Great job!! I, too, have gotten rid of most of my 14s, finished that up today....not entirely comfy in my 12s, although they look fine on me....it's just an image thing.

I think we all have very realistic goals for the month, and we can all accomplish!! My pedometer died, so I had to think of a way to convert the miles I wanted to accomplish into minutes. I never have cared for cucumber slices, but never really knew what a sea monkey tastes like...guess I know now :) I bought a 64 oz mug at my local Speedway and drink at least one every day at work. I get my exercise from going to the potty a thousand times

to those eating smoothies...throw a handful of kale or baby spinach in the blender, I SWEAR you won't taste it much and you get the added veggie benefit

I eat McCann's Irish Oatmeal often for breakfast. Maybe throw in a handful of blueberries or just a small amount of peanut butter or brown sugar....keeps me satisfied until lunch

May 1 I quit for the month as a challenge. I kept on going in June and July - however, I admit that while on vacation I drank three diet soft drinks. I now drink a lot of water, and the occasional iced tea. Overall, it's been good - knowing that when I eat popcorn, I will have to have a Diet Rite
