  • Do these taste anything like the green beans Outback Steakhouse used to have? (Hoping you've had them . . .) I haven't been back since they stopped serving them. It is odd that the entire reason I went to a steakhouse was green beans?
  • LOVED it. Went the day they released. Pretty sure the guy that works at my GNC thinks I'm insane by now, it was my third trip in the last two weeks! But seriously, my previous favorite flavor was tied between Coconut Cashew and Apple Pie, and I would give each of them a solid 7/10 for flavor. The Mocha would be a 12/10.…
  • Tried the Caramel Cheetos Sweetos this week. They were okay. I'd rather just get caramel puffcorn if I really need a caramelly treat. But I also bought my ONE bag of Cinnamon Sugar ones, which I much prefer. I don't see them lasting the weekend :)
  • I haven't had the caramel ones, but I allow myself to buy ONE bag of the Cinnamon Sugar every time they come around. They're addictive, and I could easily eat the whole bag in one go if I'm not careful! The taste reminds me of cinnamon sugar toast- sweet, cinnamony, with an unexpected- and entirely delicious- buttery…
  • I really liked this one! It's the only one of the cereal bars I've tried, but I was impressed. It WAS very sweet, but if you're a fan of maple syrup/waffles, I think you'll like it. Have you ever tried those Golden Grahams milk and cereal bars? Think like that, but small/better macros/no chocolate.
  • Walmart! They also had Bubble Gum, fruit punch and a bunch of other fun flavors, but none of the dipped or filled ones (at least not yet- there's plenty of time until Easter).
  • Haven't tried the filled Peeps yet, but I DID try these over the weekend. Verdict: Meh. As a LOVER of Cotton Candy flavor, these didn't really hit the mark. Any cotton candy flavor at all was very faint, and possibly due to my expectations rather than actual existence. Not different enough from a regular Peep to be worth…
  • I never got my Noosa coupon either, but I DID get TWO free Kind bars in the mail last week.
  • I'm sure this was a last fall "Limited Edition", but I just picked it up last week. I don't love the texture/filling-ness of the whips, but this flavor was phenomenal! Very citrusy with just a tang of sweet cranberry. Wish it would stick around- and in regular texture :/
  • I don't think it was a chain wide sale. I think it was just because this particular store had bars that were going to go out of date and they wanted to get rid of them. It was only 3 of the flavors, the rest were all full price.
  • I doubt this is new, but I'd never seen it before today. It's basically 80% Golden Grahams, 10% Coco Puffs and 10% those hard dehydrated marshmallows you get in packaged hot chocolate mix. I cannot believe I went through 31 years of life and never thought to do this myself! I'm kind of irritated that the only place I've…
  • I tried this out today; not super impressed. I didn't really get a chocolate or caramel vibe from this, and definitely no sea salt. It was mostly just sweet. It reminded me of the Cafe Latte flavor Yoplait used to have. If you're just out for something different, and you don't hate the Whips, definitely give it a try, but…
  • I picked both of these guys up today! Will report back once I've tried them.
  • A coworker brought these for us to try out the other day. They were pretty good, but I got zero cheesecake flavor whatsoever. They were mostly just white chocolate flavor, with a hint of graham/some other toasted type flavor. Spotted these at Walmart last week, though not sure how new they are. I tried the Ginger Sesame…
  • I used to spray the surface with Pam (or similar low cal cooking oil spray) and it worked better than lemon juice. But I eat avocado pretty much daily, so it got to be a pain. Now I just put the cut half in a zip top bag in the fridge. The very top layer browns a bit, but it doesn't affect the taste or texture. It lasts…
  • I'm an avocado fiend- and who doesn't love bacon?- so the ABC burger would be the easy choice. But that Apple Slaw Turkey Burger looks really interesting, too. Who ever heard of putting butternut squash on a burger? So I'd probably debate between those two for a while. Probably with Porchetta fries either way.
  • I love plain Greek yogurt with honey. Sometimes I'll add chopped fruit (my favorite is nectarines). I also make dip for veggies with it: either some dill, lemon juice, salt and a touch of mint, or dry ranch mix are the ones I use most often. I use it instead of sour cream on chili or baked potatoes. Instead of mayo (which…
  • Walmart also ad matches! Check out the weekly flyers online for any stores in your area, and Walmart will match advertised prices. Most items have to be the same brand (if some other grocery store has their brand milk on sale, you can't get Walmart brand milk for the same price), but they match produce also. I ad match…
  • I turn mine into bars. 40ish grams of powder + 35ish grams of syrup (I use half BioNeutra for the fiber and half honey to cut the cost down) plus some dry mix-ins (chocolate chips, coconut, dried fruit, chopped nuts, whatever I have) and it makes a reasonable facsimile of a Quest bar.
  • When you swing by the store on the way home to pick up eggs, and have to get a cart, because they're too heavy :/
  • You've obviously never worked retail. Downstacking pallets of freight, and then working said cases of (often heavy) merchandise can absolutely cause you to break a sweat and get your heart rate up. I also work retail, on my feet 40 hours a week. Some days I work tons of freight, some days I walk the length of the store…
  • YouTube. There are TONS of great yoga practices available, and of course there will be some that don't fit what you want, but take an hour and browse around. Find a few channels you like and subscribe to them. My favorite (for what it's worth, as yoga isn't really my thing) is Yoga with Adriene. She's got a bunch of longer…
  • If you don't have a rice cooker, invest in one. They run as cheap as $20 at Walmart/Target, and you can make way more than rice. I do pretty much all of my starchy carbs in them, as well as beans. Throw in some rice/quinoa/barley/whatever and some veggies, set it, walk away and do whatever for 20-30 minutes (like say, get…
  • . . . neither is the MFP estimate. They're both off, whichever one you choose to go with is fine. Just be aware that it's not 100% accurate.
  • I ate my first garden strawberry last night! There were two, but the squirrels got to one of them first :( I'm also growing several lettuces, spinach and arugula, peppers and tomatoes, celery, beans and peas, cucumbers and various herbs (off the top of my head: anise, dill, cilantro, mint and orange thyme?)
  • I have a bench, bar and adjustable dumbbells, and the only thing I had to substitute in the first stage of NROLFW is lat pulldowns. Everything else is easily doable with dumbells. The later stages get slightly more difficult, but Stage 1 is meant to last 6-8 weeks, and you could extend it if you wanted.
  • Ash, my big fat boy. Last vet visit he was 16.4 pounds! And Clio, Ash's mother. She's a gorgeous Maine Coon, but I've never managed to get a good photo of her! And bonus: Clio right after her kittens were born, almost exactly 7 years ago. Ash is on the far left.
  • ERMEGERD, YES!! I had those ONCE, YEARS ago at a friend's house, and I STILL think about them everytime I decide I want chips! I wish the Cheetos Cinnamon Sugar Sweetos that they had around Easter this year had stuck around. Those were amazing, but it's probably best for my waistline that they didn't :( Maybe they'll come…
  • Our cookout was Saturday. I spent two hours dragging big heavy pots around in the garden in the morning, then went for an hour and a half bike ride in the early afternoon. I figured I earned enough to eat what I wanted, so I did :D Including an Almond Joy waffle cone for dessert!
  • I'm not doing this to be mean, but you know that Alli is neither new nor good for you, yes? Your body NEEDS fat to function, and just because you don't absorb all of the fat you eat doesn't mean you'll lose weight. Dietary fat =/= body fat. Plus, side effects o.O So I'm not completely OT, I tried the new Haribo "Juicy"…
