  • I actually have talked to a personal trainer about this same subject. She told me that I need over 100 grams of protein a day and that most of that should come from lean meats. She is not a big fan of protein shakes or bars because of all of the other added stuff. She is a big advocate of the "EAT CLEAN" diet. Google it…
  • That is amazing! I'm at 6 miles so far and working my way up! How long did it take you to get to 9? How long does it take you? Great job!!
  • Great job! I promise if you keep it up it will become addicting...take it from me, I'm addicted! I've gone from not running at all to running 10k in less than 6 months! Keep it up, and I promise you will lose the weight too!
  • WELCOME!!! I am almost to my goal weight, so I understand how difficult and long it may seem to get to the finish line. Here are some tips to follow that helped me!! 1. Stay positive 2. Don't ever give up 3. push yourself 4. BE PATIENT!!! 5. Oh, and don't forget to be patient!! I never thought I would be at this point, it…
  • Thank you everyone for all of your kind words! Lets just "keep on keepin' on"!!!
  • That is amazing! Keep it up. I had a friend visit this week and slipped up on my eating, but continued to workout. I gained a few pounds but I'm just telling myself it's water weight from the salty food. I'm pretty sure doing some interval training will knock it off. Super congrats to you! You should be very proud!!
  • I did a "Fun-Run" two weeks ago. It was a 5k and I completed it in 29:55. There is a 1/2 Marathon coming up in a month that my co-workers want me to do with them, but i'm extremely nervous and afraid i might not do well! I wouldn't want to walk it, but I don't think i'm ready to run 13 miles straight.
  • What is making the running difficult for you? Is it breathing, pain, or just boredom? The right running shoes are very important. Starting off slow is important too. try just jogging very slow. Try intervals on a track, doing sprints for 30 sec and walk for a min.
  • That is awesome! Don't give up! It really does take time and practice! One thing that really helped me get better was doing interval training. Walk a minute then jog at a fast pace for a min. Do that at least 1-2 times a week and I promise you will notice a difference! Good luck to you!!
  • I hear ya, I've gone from 200 to about 185 and nothing, what the heck!! But I live in Italy and my family is in the states, so when i see them next year and i'm 40-50 pounds lighter, it will be a bigger shock!! That's what i like to think about, when you know you won't see certain people for a while and then they are like…
  • You're hilarious!! You totally had me thinking sad thoughts before i read your post! Good for you! :drinker: I need to stop obsessing about the numbers too, but I really think i'm addicted to knowing my weight!! I can't stop!!
  • Hey everyone! I'm a SAHM of a 2-year-old girl, but i'm going back to work in a week or so! I get up everday at 5AM with my hubby and use our treadmill for 45 minutes. I also try to use the WII FIt Boxing game as much as i can. I try and only miss one day a week of working out.

  • I have a very cheap digital scale that i weigh myself on and then I've been weighing myself on the WII fit that I have as well. They are giving different readings about 3 pounds difference. Which one would you go with? Are the WII's that accurate?
  • I just ordered the Polar F7 Heart Rate Monitor from Amazon! I'm so excited to use it! Does anyone have this one? If so, how do you like it?
  • Oh, i'm a goof, i should have mentioned that stuff. I lost that weight last year and now i'm back to lose more. My goal is to lose 20 pounds by June 21st. My calorie intake is 1200 and i don't know how many calories i burn because MFP doesn't have interval training on the database. My treadmill doesn't keep track of the…
  • I'm staying within the calories and doing interval training for 40 minutes on the treadmill everyday for almost 3 weeks now and i'm not seeing anything come off!! Its so frustrating. Am I exercising enough?
  • I totally understand your frustration! Please don't give up! I slacked for a while and didn't loose any but slowly started gaining again, so here I am back on the wagon! What I have decided is that eating healthy is what I have to do forever, I will still eat my favorites but only a small portion and not stuff myself! I…
