  • keep in mind your sodium intake. if you eat alot of packaged things you could be retaining water which will show no loss or even a gain when i comes to the scale.
  • remember, eating less than 1200 cal/day will send your body into starvation mode. You definitely don't want that. When you eat too few calories your body starves and then when you eat again your body will store that’s as fat "in case of emergencies" try eating smaller meals more often. I eat 4 meals & 3 snacks per day and…
  • i follow shred. its based off a book by dr. ian smith. it teaches you heathly eating habits. each weeks its something different. it takes some planning to be prepared for the week but it is totally worth it. i downloaded the book on my phone but i'm going to buy the hardback after work today.
  • I have a bodymedia armband. i have it synced with MFP and only use that for calorie burn.
  • Ok its been almost a month since i originally posted this...any feedback on how things look since then?
  • I agree, just go off the mirror. back in 2008 i got down to 137 and i was still a size 9. (hips and butts run large in my family) don't mind it so much, love handles make great grips for men...;-) and personally i'd rather have a butt than large breast. but if you truley want to lose 25 don't let our comments stop you by…
  • how did you do 70lbs in 6 months?

  • i have the band as well and what i've learned or at least the way i look at it (i think i'm right but not sure) is i have my band synced with MFP. my calories burned in the morning are typically around 500ish. keep in mind i think some of these are the calories you burn from sleeping. also if you have your band synced then…
  • ok i'm a little confused on a few things... 1) when you say "make sure to eat back what you exercise" what do you mean? why would you eat back what you burned when working out, doesn't that defeat the purpose of working out? 2) good carbs and bad carbs...whats the difference? 3) glycerin? something was mentioned about…
  • ok for working out what i typically do when i go to the gym is 30-60 mins on the treadmill at about 3.0-3.5 pace. The treadmills at my gym have tv's on them so ususally what i do is go at the beginning of the hour and find a show that i like to watch and i will walk the show and run the commercials (usally at 4.3 for…
  • I only briefly looked at your diary, but from what i can see your about 145ish lbs? i would say for that weight try and lower your calorie intake. try 1200-1500/day. Lowering your calories and increasing your workouts may help speed up the proceess. I'm 200lbs :-( and my calorie goal is 1500, yes some days i go over but i…
