Im having the same prob so will be watching this thread closely! I currently use nike+ as Ive found it to be the most accurate out of the apps I've tried but still no run/walk option!
-
Really? I can do that in one sitting quite easily hahaha x

Each to their own pet but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You don't want an opinion, don't post on a public forum. Pretty simple really.

I had to have a tummy tuck to rid me of my excess skin and stretch marks do fade with time until they become silver/whiteish. I like to think of them as my tiger stripes, proud of them as I earned each and every one of them :-)

Before I had kids (i.e., in college and between high school and college) it was this -- again just a sample, but this was my first car: [/quote] This is gorgeous! Modern cars just don't have the same kind of soul as vintage ones :-)

Now I'm not going to judge and don't mean to offend or upset anyone but I think diet pills on the whole are a money-making scam and many of them work purely because of the placebo effect i.e.e you think they are working and therefore, they do. If there was one pill that worked and was guaranteed to help people lose weight,…

Hi hun! I would say try using a primer before applying your make up to help it stay in place, both Urban Decay and Benefit do some excellent primers. Think even some of the more mid-market brands such as L'oreal and Bourjois do primers also but Im not sure how good they are as I've never tried them. Ive used Mac Studio…

DONT do this - sorry but it's the beginnings of an ED. And before anyone jumps in to say I don't know what Im talking about, I am a recovering EDNOS sufferer and that's pretty much how my ED started, compensatory behaviour for a binge. It's not a healthy way to eat. Yes, some people fast intermittedly and if that works for…

I wondered this when I first started MFP and a friend explained it to me like this: When you set up your profile on MFP, you select how much weight you would like to lose each week and MFP does all of the calculations for you and works out the calorie deficit required to lose that amount of weight before any exercise is…

How is it not worth it? If the OP has worked hard all week, I say go for it and make sure you enjoy it, too! The minute you start depriving yourself of the things you crave will be the minute this starts to feel like a diet and therefore a chore. There is no reason to not still eat and enjoy "naughty" food, just keep it…

Here's the link, have a look down and see which looks most like what you'll be having :) x http://www.myfitnesspal.com/nutrition-facts-calories/kebab

There is one in the mfp database with a pitta, salad and chilli sauce. I'd say try staying away from the takeaway garlic sauce and buy yourself a bottle of garlic mayo from the supermarket. At least that way, you know how many cals is in that. I suppose it depends on how much chicken there is in the kebab and how it is…

*cough cough* not ALL the ladies suggested cardio, I too suggested strength training

I love that thread, motivating stuff!

Its probably BECAUSE you have so little to lose that it's coming off so slowly. If you don't mind me asking, what do you have your current MFP weekly weight loss goal set to? At your weight, I'd say aim for 0.5-1lb per week and be sure to eat right up to your cal goal or as close as possible to it every day. Bare in mind…

ooooooooh....lol, sorry. Well I certainly hope so! You are right, hopefully in 6 months time there will be less of me to maintain and therefore I will have a lower TDEE :)

This post could have been written by me a few weeks back lol. Im not sure how big you are or how much you have to lose but I can say from experience, losing weight without toning those areas can lead to being "skinnyfat", i.e you still have the same problem, only it's shrunk a bit! So, I quizzed my friend who is a newly…

Well no, I dont think the fact I have a way to go really has anything to do with me being able to "sustain a higher intake". I don't consider myself to have a high intake at all, infact in comparison to others I know who weigh less, I'd say it's relatively low. It's more to do with the fact that a cal deficit is already…

Have a look at this link: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ This is what I'm considering using ^^^^^ I was recommended this tool by a friend but have since seen many MFPers say that it's the best tool around x

Good Job! I agree MFP overestimates. At the moment, I use the cal count on the machines in the gym by entering my weight and monitoring my heart rate on the sensor things and when I walk, I use a tracker that uses gps to track my distance and pace and my body weight to work out the cals burned. I think the best idea when…
-
In my personal opinion, I'd say 700 net cals is far too low to keep your body going. Chances are, you will lose "weight" but it will more than likely be fluid and muscle mass that you lose, which is not what you want. In order to lose fat instead of muscle mass, you need to feed your body properly, taking in AT LEAST 1200…

SW: 272lbs CW:231lbs My calorie goal is set automatically by MFP based on a "lightly active" setting, which has me at roughly 1400 cals per day at the moment. I try to workout at the gym 3 times a week, averaging an 800 cal burn per session. Sometimes I work out more at the gym, it depends. I go particularly hard if I know…

I also like to cut about halfway into the breast, along the length of it and in the slit, place a tablespoon or 2 of philadelphia light (any flavour you like), then wrap the chicken breasts in a couple of strips of bacon with the fat removed, top with some low fat mozarella and whack in the oven until cooked x

marinate them in Pepsi Max overnight and then cook them as normal in the oven. Makes like a sweet, sticky sauce and is just gorgeous :)
