I officially have 7 weeks until we're outta the cold and into the warm - We leave the last week of January for our eastern Caribbean cruise. I am using it as motivation to get/keep myself on track. I'd like be down another 15 pounds before I leave - and I'm determined. I have been stressing a little in the back of my mind…

I would still call them. The same thing happened to me a year or so ago, and they replaced it. I didn't purchase it through them either, but I was able to show proof where I bought it (an Ebay user) and they replaced it free of charge. Call them, their customer service is awesome.

If you type your question into search (top right), you will find MANY MANY posts discussing this. This topic is very divisive. Good luck in whatever you choose.

I have this in the crockpot AS.WE.SPEAK! I'm so excited for it. I added pineapple tidbits (instead fo straight pineapple juice) and also added some onions. Thanks for the idea, and I'll update to how tasty it was once I've had a chance to try it. Happy Monday! :)

crockpot meals FTW! :)

I know you were asking about Fitbit, and I have absolutely no experience with it. I would encourage you to look into the BodyMedia Fit (the armband that they wear on the Biggest Loser) as a potential option. I have one, love it, and love it even more know that it can be synced with MFP. Just an idea... :)

I'm with you girl! Good luck and feel free to add me for mutual accountability :)

Here's a copy of a brief review I did for a group of friends in a weight loss support group a few weeks ago when we were discussing the BFM: " Here's my personal review: I definitely think its worth the price (especially if you can get in NIB off Ebay or somewhere cheaper than their website.) I've had mine for a few years…

Check out jogfm. It has tons and tons (and tons) of different playlists - and the songs show how many beats per minute if you're looking to keep a certain pace. The best part is it's FREE! :)

That's what she said. :) In all seriousness, I'm glad that you were able to open the lines of communication about the feelings you were having. In the long run, it will be beneficial to you and imperative for your relationship. Keep at it chica! You can do it.

I guess the first obvious question is why you posted this in the "success stories" board? Feeling good in your own skin is relative. You know what your triggers are, so by journaling and holding yourself accountable, you will see change. Good luck! :)

Hahahah. My parents used to tell me that if you ate the tails off of shrimp, they would grow and swim in your belly. And don't forget bubble gum stays in your stomach for seven years if you swallow it!

Feel free to add me. The more support the merrier! :)

Cheese and rice, I wouldn't talk to him about nutrition OR give him any more money as my personal trainer. Find another one who isn't such an *kitten*, geez! :)

I <3 Nike+GPS. You can go in and enter your info (height/weight/bday) for a semi-more reliable accounting of calories. However, the only true measure is to get a heart-rate monitor or BMF or the like. :)

I get the whole "guys lose weight easier/quicker, etc. and it blows" mentality. It would be extremely frustrating, especially if said male is your spouse. That being said, however, and the place you need to get to is that this is a personal "journey" and you cannot and should not compare yourself with anyone. By making…

I'm training for my first half (eeeeeek!). I'm doing a 17-wk training program (http://www.logyourrun.com/index.php?option=com_program&task=view&Itemid=65&id=3848) and am currently on wk 2. The thing that I like about this program is how gradual it builds up the miles. :)
I didn't realize so many people here had bad taste in music. MWAH! MN peeps!
I'm not actually a huge fan of the music (some of it is EH at best), but I love me some Dave Ryan.

KDWB FTW! BTW (haha), I didn't realize there were so many of "my" locals up in here. :)

What state are you in? Minnesota has the Emily Program, which also has a branch in Washington. That being said, check out http://www.eatingdisorderhope.com/ for resources and guidance on the options that you have to you locally. Good luck! We're all here for you.

I'm a huge advocate of the C25k program. Graduated last April, ran a few 5ks and a 10k before getting a stress fracture, which sidelined me. I back in it now, training for my first half marathon - EEEEEK! Feel free to add me, I love supporting other runners! :) ps. If I can do it, ANYONE can!

Someone else just asked the same question, and this was my response: I would just add up the number of running sequences, enter that separately, and then add up the number of walking sequences. OR if you have a HRM, you can enter the total number of calories burned without breaking it down. Good luck with C25k, it's…

Nice job on making a blanket statement that isn't necessarily true [all of the time]. The reason I made the statement is because it's what happened to me. I guess I could have gone further and said, especially when you are first starting out, you will build muscle, especially if you don't have good muscle tone to begin…

What he said. The only thing I want to add is that running can also add muscle, so if you see intermittant gains, don't freak out. Muscle burns more calories than fat, so while the gain may seem counterproductive, it will actually help in the long run *no pun intended LOL*
