Love the JL! First time doing it (on a hr monitor), I could barely manage 15 minutes (220 kcal)...6 months later...22 minutes (357 kcals)....6 months later...40 minutes (680 kcals)....I believe if I could ever last 60 minutes on the JL...it would be damn close to 950/1000 kals!

Just burned 1202 in 88 minutes of intense tennis (AVG HR of 143 - 83% of my Max HR). Seems like we are in line!

I lost close to a hundred in my first year...working gradual levels down from a very high calorie intake (probably at 3000-4000 kcals a day...every day with 0 exercise). Went on vacation this weekend...now checking out all the L size shirts window shopping...30 months ago, I would think about going home...going to a website and seeing if I could make a 4x to remember the time. Guess I am now part of the general vacationing public. :-)

Lost 95 lbs. In a year (4/09 - 4//10), then a 9 month plateau...was frustrated and then stopped tracking (WW) then gained back over 15 lbs. (12/10-2/11). Started back on track in 2/11... started MFP on 3/15 (first time ever)...now down another 25...total lost from highest weight: >106. Lesson learned...this is a lifestyle…

Really wanted to do something outside today and was able to get in 2 hours of active tennis doubles before the rain from early Irene started....burned 1307 on my Polar FT80. Finished the week at about 5700 burned...Sunday willl be a no exercise day... :-(

Guilty as charged...not always feeling great while there...always feeling good when done. An addict. Thank goodness I added tennis back into my life so on days I burn more than 500kcal (HR monitor observed) at tennis...no need for the gym. These days I probably skip some sort of activity 1 in 14 days.

The Polar FT60 and FT80 (as well as the new RCX5) all count distance. You do need to add either a foot pod, cycling sensor or GPS unit to track pace and miles (as well as Google Maps review). Check out the complete line on Polar's website! Best prices I find on all are at heartratemonitorusa.com!

I agree...love the elliptical, especially the Life Fitness Models. You should only wear it for the time you workout! Use the MFP BMR calculator to figure out your daily rate of calories burned...use the polar to add in your exercise calories!

Amazing....you have pegged my dinners 3-4 days a week for the last 2 years...eat the veggie delite and you will lose weight. Add the apples instead of the extra 6 inches and all is great! Stay away from the chips!
