How many calories a week do you target to burn?

Seems like I do more exercise than most, but again...at another plateau...

Here was my busy week:

Training Sessions:7
Exercise Duration: 11hr 44min
Calories: 7,315
Distance on Elliptical: 16.2 mi Time: 3 hr
Time playing Tennis: 8 hr 44min (5 - 3 in sets)

I am almost always within my kcals +-200 everyday...just at the end of a long transformation and not really sure where the bottom is!

First off Congratulations on the 100+ weight loss! Second I think your not eating enough and burning too much. A few years back I was an exercise guru, but I kept my calories at 1200 and hit a plateau and didn't know why. I went to Vegas the next week and ate at the buffets and didn't exercise but came back 5 days later and had lost 10lbs. I was like WHAT? I asked a trainer at the gym and he said that's because I wasn't eating enough and exercising too much. So maybe that's what is happening with you, but you lost 100 lbs. so who am I to tell you how to lose!!!! Congratulations on that!!!

There are definitely days I eat at least 2,000-2,500 kcals a day (because of the big exercise days). I do try to get back to the line of maintenance for me (about 1,950/ a day) everyday and I watch proteins very closely to hit the updated targets each day (goes from 65g- 110g on some days). Most days, I am really pretty close.

I guess this is the real question...on really big workout days...do you really eat 3000+ calories?

I agree with the "not eating enough" folks. Also, as SarahLikesCheese mentioned, switch up your exercise. Over time, your body will adapt/adjust itself to your workouts. Think back to your first workout day. It was probably very tough. Weeks/months later...the same workout became easy. Maybe you've been in the same workout groove for too long?

Fantastic job on your weight loss!
