  • Thanks everyone! It was a total surprise for me. I haven't timed a mile in a while... I think the last time I did was on a treadmill, but running outside is a whole different thing. I'm super excited... I can't wait until I can run 3 miles at that pace, and then 6 and so on. As much as I hate waking up at the butt crack of…
  • Being able to run - I ran Track in middle school/high school but I only ever did the sprints... I was convinced that any kind of distance over 100m was too far for me to run, I just "wasn't built for running distance". Well pffft to that. I may not be running the entire time, but I did 6.5 km last week and I'm doing it…
  • I would say yes. Even though I still have a ways to go, I feel like a whole new person. I don't hurt all the time, I feel more confident... and the things I can do now that I couldn't before... it just blows my mind. It's the best feeling in the world to have someone ask if I wanna go for a hike or our for a run and not…
  • Thanks very much everyone... I'm all red cheeks now. :P It feels great to be able to to get out and live an active life... that's probably my biggest take away from all this. I was able to do a quick run and then go out on a 2 hour hike with my husband and dog and I still feel ready for more. Me and my husband both have…
  • That was interesting. I picked the second to last one on the right and ended up being the 4th one from the left. I'm 25% smaller than I think I am... very eye opening for me.
  • It's going! I haven't had a c-section, but I did have quite a 'fleshy apron' and it's starting to really disappear. It's neat, because that was the one thing I was most worried about. I've gone from 275 to 200.8 and I'm 5'3, so it was fairly substantial and now it's pretty much gone.
  • I've just about lost an Irish Setter. :P It's kind of funny actually, we just weighed my Lab/Pitt mix and she weighs 70lbs. It was really surreal looking at her and thinking, I had her entire mass on my 5'3 frame... it just boggles the mind. I don't know how I ever got around, I really can't believe how far I've come.
  • I'm 5'3... I usually eat around 1600 on rest days and anywhere from 1800 to 2100 on my workout days.
  • Howdy! I just finished Week 4 Day 2 today. I've had to take slightly longer walking breaks after the third interval due to stitches and I may repeat this week... but it feels awesome! I've stopped and started C25K before and have never gotten this far, so it feels awesome! Good work and keep pounding the pavement!
  • Speaking from personal experience, I would say try to lose a bit of weight before trying to conceive. My husband and I tried when I was around 275-250lbs (I'm 5'3). We were able to get pregnant right away, but I had an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy and lost the baby. My obgyn felt that my weight played a large role in that my…
  • I had something like this for the first time this past Friday. My husband (who has also been lost about 30lbs and is now super fit) and I were at a family dinner with his family. Pretty much everyone in his family is a bit bigger and had SO many questions and odd remarks for us. I didn't mind the questions, I know most of…
  • Neigh! I had a horse when I was younger... sadly I had to find him a new, more enjoyable home when I went to college. After that, I gained and gained and gained to the point where I would not have/should not have been able to ride. So, my big reward when I get down under the 200's is to go on a trail ride. ^_^ it's…
  • Me! I started my weight loss journey at 275.... I'm currently at 211. I'm getting so close to onederland that I can taste it. :P I have a big treat planned for me when I get there. I'm going to go horseback riding. Something that I love and have been avoiding because of my weight for a long 5 years. So yay! Anyone else…
  • Hey there. I'm not losing weight specifically to up our chances when we try for a baby, but it's definitely been a motivating factor for me. Me and my husband have suffered through two losses, one ectopic and one early miscarriage. So we're hoping that as my weight goes down and our health gets better, that we'll finally…
  • Thank you everyone for the kind and supportive comments, I really needed them today. :) I've been unable to exercise for the past 5 weeks due to a back injury and have just found out I not allowed to do any running/elliptical/bike exercises or kickboxing for the next 3 weeks due to a knee injury, so it's been stressful the…
  • So... this was me 50lbs ago at 275.... And me now, at around 225.4lbs... still a work in progress, but I do see some big changes in my face.
  • I'm 5'3 SW - 275 CW - 225.4 GW - 145-150 for the moment. I want to compete as a kickboxer and currently most of the fighters in my area are in the 150lb weight class. If I went any lower, the lowest I would go is 135. I was 140 in high school and I was tiny, any smaller I would feel odd. I'm mainly concerned with body…
