I forgot to weigh myself this morning... However, I am pretty sure that thanks to this weekend's festivities that I would not register any sort of change. Will eight myself on Thursday when I get back to my scale.

I thought that I would always be able to eat whatever I wanted. However, as I got older I couldn't. I fed my work stress with things that I enjoyed. I thought that 30 min in the gym would compensate, it didn't.

Quick fixes for these panic moments don't do anything except stress you out. If you are working a plan for the long term stick with it. It doesn't matter what the gym people think.

The one person that I know who does physique contests hired a coach to help her.

Great job!

I don't but I try to eat fiber for other reasons.

You have lost 4.7 Kilos in roughly 2 months. If you don't have a lot to lose then that is great pace. If you just starting exercising you might also be retaining some water in your muscles. Weight loss takes time and patience. Starvation mode doesn't exist.

You get rid of it by going to the doctor and finding out what it is to begin with.

Peachy, I need your shortbread recipe like I need air!

I don't notice a relation to sore muscles but I do feel much more hungry immediately after strength training. The only thing that helps my sore muscles is time, plenty of water, and keeping them moving. Sore muscles are the worst on day 2 for me but much better on day 3.

The active ingredient is caffeine. I personally would rather have my caffeine in the form of hot tea. Your choice but there is no magic.

My parents only ever made one meal. There was always plenty of salad to have on the side if you didn't like/didn't want a big helping of the main dish. Nothing wrong with hearty foods, just learn to eat less and if you need to add in bulk a vegetable side is great.

Unfortunately no. Pick clothes that fit you well and that you feel fabulous in.

Week one! SW 158 GW 150 CW (week 1) 158 Am I surprised, no. Did I have two days this week that I weighed less? Yes.

Sip on water to keep yourself feeling not thirsty but not needing the rest room. If you feel dehydrated then drink more after work. Shouldn't slow down your weight loss at all.

I think that by setting your goal to be that much so fast you might be setting yourself up for failure.
-
Sounds like you are doing plenty of things right, keep up the good work!

You body is constantly using calories even when you are sleeping. You don't need to eat at specific times or worry about "using up" one meal before another.

When i am stressed I find that I don't sleep well if my body isn't tired, so exercise during the evening (not right before bed) really helps me). My BF loves melatonin, I tried it once but it made my already somewhat vivid dreams much worse. Having a routine helps. I try to go to bed at the same time, read a book (no…

I made a rule that it can only be on toast, no spoonfuls. If I put it on toast then it feels mores like a substantial calorie snack than just sneaking a quick scoop. If I can't stick with that then I only buy creamy which is much less tempting for me.

There is some preliminary research out there on capsaicin (the hot stuff in peppers) and weight loss but it is preliminary and the work is often with combinations of other things. Non of it is about eating more peppers or adding cayenne to you food.

This is part of the reason that I stick with one scale and try to weigh myself only once a week or so.
-
Ignore the scale BF%, the results are influenced by your hydration state and a bunch of other stuff.

A cup of coffee or black tea for caffeine and big bowl of oatmeal, then go for a walk.

I have lost weight wile still enjoying the occasional drink, as long as it was in my calories. The problem was when I was enjoying lots of drinks and no longer in a deficit.

The reason to weigh it yourself is two fold. 1) There is a certain amount of variance allowed in packages, over or under the printed weight 2) if you are going to only eat part of a package it is good to know what percentage you are eating.

Find other non food ways of dealing with your stress. I like to walk or listen to music, yoga is good, or a hobby. Also, getting enough sleep helped me a lot, I know that during finals that is tough.

Given the added information I think that some sort of counseling would be a good idea.

I think that 160 at 6 ft is pretty slim for a guy, I weigh that much and I am 2 inches shorter than you. Perhaps you could focus on body decomposition to trim up the areas that you are concerned with instead of just losing weight. Bonus is if you are lifting and exercising for recomp you tick off extra boxes toward health.
