  • That IS a good question. I never really considered it. I usually weigh it pre-cooked and then make my recipe around that amount... but there are times when I'll cook it, then cube it up to put on a salad and I weigh it cooked. I am going to follow this so I can find out other opinions. I do wait until it is fully thawed…
  • Not to discourage you, but I read somewhere that the average American consumes nearly 14,000 calories on Thanksgiving day. So that could have increased it. Congratulations on the 4 pound net loss though! Look on the positive side and continue to eat healthy.
  • I would put up with the large thighs for now, until you meet your weightloss goal. The more muscle you have the more it boosts your metabolism. With your legs having a lot of muscle, it will help boost your metabolism and keep you going towards your weightloss goal. I'd also try to work in some yoga or pilates, to help…

  • Good for you!! Congratulations on your victory as well!! I too find that a very frustrating situation to be in. My co-worker and I have built almost identically and I have lost a small amount of weight (small frame, so it shows very quickly) and she is always telling me how jealous she is and how I need to stop loosing…
  • Well, your trainer went through certification to do her job... and he didn't. So listen to your trainer!! Weights are important, because they will help build muscle. Muscle will help increase your metabolism. But do as your trainer instructs, he/she will know what is right for you and your body type. Myself personally, I…
  • Not sure if this will be of any help, but during my spin class yesterday, my instructor told us that if we have knee pain when running, that strength training on the bike can help with that. On a side note, congratulations on joining the army! My husband is going on six years in the army. =] Ok--Another side note, if…
