Do you need to lose weight, what are your stats and goals? How accurately to you track food and how long have you been on a diet for? Don’t hate on yourself, life’s too short x
-
I used an online bf% checker (a Navy one I think) it put me at around 18%...not sure where that puts me really
-
Thank you that makes sense :) Resistance training doesn’t sound too scary I’ll look into it thanks
-
I need to gain weight regardless of what form it comes in, I would just feel more comfortable doing it if I didn’t think it was all fat. 19 is within the normal range but that doesn’t mean it is healthy for everyone and I didn’t get to that weight in a healthy way.
-
Yep, thanks I get that but I’m talking about intentionally gaining weight not losing it.
-
Thanks I will try to, I just don’t want to focus on it too much - if I end up gaining 7lbs of fat so be it but I would like to rebuild at least some of the lean mass I’ve lost.
-
Sorry I’m confused, were you underweight before you gained the muscle?
-
7lbs is a guess really, my bmi is 19 and I’m 5’10 so I think I need to gain something. I don’t want to get too into exercise, I don’t mind doing a bit but don’t really want to make it a routine.
-
I’ve decided to gain some weight back and could use some friends doing the same thing, feel free to add me :)
-
You look amazing!!
-
I think they are planning to refer me, I’m quite positive about the idea of a therapist, the dietitian makes me nervous.
-
Thank you, I do have a plan of sorts and it starts with the dr, I think I might need to talk a lot before I get the strength to actually change.
-
Sorry x
-
Yes and yes
-
I just can’t cope with it right now, this probably wasn’t the place to talk about it - I am waiting to see a dr. I’m not really the type of person to ask for help I think sometimes it’s just nice to be able to talk.
-
I’m not sure I’m actively trying anything to be honest, just kind of getting through it
-
No I’m not, sorry not sure what else to say really.
-
So...the starving thing scared me out of maintenance, it’s been 3 weeks and I’m 6lbs down. I will try again at some point but realise I will need a lot of support to get to that stage - it terrifies me but I know it’s something I will have to deal with.

Bump
-
The 600 was tracked using hrm on cardio
-
That’s probably because you’re human :) If you want it to last a lifetime it will prob take more than a few months to achieve.
-
I do think 1400-1500 sounds quite low for 171cm, for the sake of 5kgs going ever so slightly under maintenance or even staying at maintenance with strength training might work better long term
-
FWIW I would never call anyone skinny fat. It will prob be a long term change for you which I would imagine to be much more easily managed by trial and error.
-
To be fair, the easiest answer would be to put your stats into MFP and see what it gives you...
-
I have nothing useful to add but as a women in mid 30s I really hope you punched your doctor!
-
What is your age, sex and height? How much would you like to lose? How are you calculating 600cal burn?
-
Are you weighing your food and how do you know diabetes is coming in 3 months?
-
I don’t think the answers will be very different to the other thread you started at the same time. It is possible and no one is going to say stop taking the meds (I hope.) Sometimes it’s more of a mindset than anything, have you talked to anyone IRL about what might be stopping you?
-
I believe it is 1lb per 3500 cals but presumably if you binge on one day your appetite will be reduced the rest of the week? ETA I guess if you can manage 10k in one day you can manage more than 1800 on others...

Good god I’ve just done one fitness blender workout and feel like I’m dying :( !!
