:) Thanks for that! I have seen them at Walmart and Canadian Tire and figured I'd probably end up with a Coleman if that's what I decided t odo. Good to know about the battery draining-I had a feeling that might be the case. I might be better off with a regular cooler then as I will not have access to wall outlets!

Thanks guys. Yeah I was wondering how effective they are and if it'll kill my car battery. Seems to be mixed reviews on a lot of them.

Awesome!

I have no advice but wow you must walk/run really fast! Your 5k time is about the same as my best 5k time at my (apparently slow) running pace haha! Nice work and good luck! :)

You could modify the couch to 5k to work for your level-I find treadmill running SO much easier than running outside. On the treadmill I feel like I can go forever haha! So you can just build up to it. :) Others may have mentioned it but I'd talk to your vet and your breeder if the pup is from a breeder that does hip/eye…

That's amazing!

You look great!

Good luck! :) I just ran my first half and only my second race ever and it was pretty fun although VERY hilly which was challenging because I am used to running on the flat (on beaches!). I don't really have any advice to offer as I did not follow any training plan and really I only run twice a week which dropped to once a…

I'm another slow runner-and it's running, not jogging-running is running regardless of how fast you are going. I have been a runner on and off my whole life and this year decided to try to be more consistent about it again. I just ran my first half marathon a few weeks ago! It was actually really fun! I was super slow but…

Do you both work straight nights? I work a typical (for BC and I think for Canada) full time RN rotation so 2 days and 2 nights (0730-1930 then 1930-0730). I often will eat really well on my nights and then come home (or be out and about) after being up all night and make bad food decisions. I am also finding it harder to…

Way to go! You must feel like a new woman!

Wow way to go! What do you think of the gondola...I am sad they put it in. I lived in Squamish for a couple of years and just loved it there! The whole Sea to Sky valley is just amazing! Anyway, great accomplishment! :)

Way to go!!! :)

Wow that's exciting, congrats! I'm also working up to a half marathon. :)

I think it depends on how long you have been running for and how conditioned your body is. My chiropractor says that until your body is conditioned you should only run every other day even if they are short runs, and then you can work up to running back to back days but always having 1-2 rest days a week. I have always…

Wow what a huge accomplishment!!!!

You look amazing! Thanks for sharing as that is just under my goal weight and we're close to the same height so it's good to see for reference.

I love the moving comfort Maia bra, it has adjustable straps and back, no racer back which I also can't wear due to headache. I am a 36E and find it very comfortable for running, kayaking, hiking, etc. I used to do the 2 bra system as another poster mentioned but it's just uncomfortable. This one is designed to sort of be…

What a difference already!

Wow!!! What a fantastic NSV! :) Your time is great for 5k so far too!

What a great start!!! :)

Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing :)

Awesome work! You should definitely get that dress altered it's really pretty :)

Thanks! Yeah the C25K is a great way to get started or to get back into running and give good guidelines to prevent getting hurt (again!) :)
-
Congrats, what a great milestone! :)

I didn't read all of the replies so sorry if I'm repeating anything. My dog is a registered therapy dog, which is very different from a guide dog. My dog and I volunteered at the hospitals and nursing homes and in some schools doing therapy, different things in different places. I'm not sure in Taiwan what the rules would…

Couch to 5k is a great way to get going on running! I have used it quite a few times as I have had a tendency to fall out of running, although the last two times I stopped was due to injury. Anyway, this time I did the Couch to 5K and Bridge to 10k (I modified them a bit as I needed less walking time) and now I'm just…

Good luck! Did you read through the successes forums to help motivate you? There are people who have lost a lot more and a lot less. It's pretty cool to see their photos and read their stories! I started with about the same to lose as you and now I am about halfway there (my goal is not firm, it will depend how I feel when…

Great, thanks you guys! I thought it was reasonable but thought I would ask. I guess I could look at a half marathon training plan but I feel like the training plans are so structured but I could use it as an idea at least. I actually am planning to run a half in the fall-I figured a goal like that would keep me motivated…
