I have also requested and appreciate the availability of this type of group!!

Another thing to consider is that if you are losing weight, estrogen is stored in your fat cells and that could be wonking out your hormones simply from the estrogen release. When I was losing weight last year I began spotting between periods and visited my doctor who ran a bunch of tests and also offered me an ablation.…

The best piece of advice I can provide is that you need to be your own best advocate in terms of your medical care. If you feel that something is off with your body, then you need to find a provider who listens to you and I mean, really listens. Who knows what is going on internally? Who knows if the weight gain is not…

I pop mine in a brown paper bag (those little lunch bags) with nothing added, just the kernels. It works great and is inexpensive!

You look wonderful and have every reason in the world to be proud of yourself!

I like to put some Franks Red Hot on my popcorn! Spicy!!

Hi! I am 5'3 and started around 231/232. I currently weight 201.6 and have been really dedicated for the past 3 months. I lose slower than most and had to come to terms with that. To that end, I really try to set other goals, rather than focusing solely on the scale. I try to work out at least 5 days a week, getting in 10k…

Thanks for the responses! It is not that I don't trust Fitbit, however, I was curious as to whether others were successful eating back the calories Fitbit affords. I have over 75 pounds to lose so I suppose I feel like I should be losing faster or more, at least. Sometimes I eat back a lot of the calories, especially if I…

I used to hate coffee too, but I kept trying and now I look forward to it every single day. Try some different flavors and brands. I found a light roast in a caramel vanilla flavor that I love. I brew and then pour over ice and add 1/2 & 1/2 and maybe a splash of davinci syrup. I think the iced part, the creamy 1/2 & 1/2,…

I started at 232 and am now 204 at 5'3. I do Zumba, just completed C25K, I get on the elliptical, find fun YouTube fitness videos, and walk. Really, like someone else said, I just try to move and be active every single day. I do it more for the mood lift than anything else.

I completed C25K today! I ran 3 miles in 34.5 minutes and got teary when I finished. I am so proud of my body and can't wait to see what else I can do. Oh and I weigh 204 pounds at 5'3 (down from 232) and I think C25K has been wonderful to ease me back into running!

What a fun thread! Through some trial and error I found that when I ate breakfast, I generally wanted to eat more throughout the day. So, I usually fast until about noon each day and when I break that fast, I do it with a piece or pieces of some type of chocolate candy (some m&ms, a miniature bar, etc). I look forward to…

I believe that is added sugar, not naturally occurring sugar. Added sugar is still difficult because it is not parsed out in labels.

You look wonderful and sound so emboldened!

I have been skipping breakfast for the past month and it has really helped me with hunger. My stomach may growl a bit, but I feel so much better delaying my first caloric intake for the day. Also, I am a big quantity eater so I find foods that I can have a lot of for fewer calories. Last week I cut up a bunch of veggies…

I often feel like this. In fact today during Zumba (where I always have a blast and feel great) I looked at myself in the mirror and instead of seeing a happy girl, working out, I saw how gigantic my arms are and how my stomach rolls when I move. I had to rechannel that or all of my hard work would be derailed. The thing…

I am pretty much following Atkins, so currently counting 20 net carbs.
-
That is great!
-
This is essentially what Atkins advocates....going up the carb ladder and seeing how your body tolerates more carbs/different carbs. Some people find they need to remain at 20-30g to maintain weight, keep hunger and cravings at bay, maintain health benefits, etc, while other people can introduce more carbs and/or different…

Oh this gives me such hope! I started this WOE today and I pray that my dental health improves. My health and wallet would love it so much!

I started the program at 227 and this week I will be finishing and I am about 214, so still obese for my height. I will say that I run a lot slower than others may and if I needed to stop or repeat a day or week then I did. Just listen to your body. I soon got to the point where my body felt great and it became mental.

Challenge Start Weight: 223 Week 1: 221 Week 2: 219.6 Week 3: 220 I gained .4 and usually that would send me into a crazy binge, BUT I am promising to just stay the course and surely I will see a loss this week. Good Luck!

Great job everyone! Way to stick with it! Challenge Start Weight: 223 Week 1: 221 Week 2: 219.6 I hope to never ever see the 220's again.

Thanks! Great tips.

SW: 223 Today's Weight: 221 -2 Pounds Ultimate Challenge Weight:199 Will someone be updating the spreadsheet or do we need to go back in and take care of it? Great job everyone!

I have dedicated myself to hitting 10,000 steps each day. I can get to that with most any form of movement. If I try to be too regimented in a plan, it sets me up for failure. But, with this goal, I can meet it through dancing through Zumba, on the elliptical, or going for a walk....or through mowing and weeding the lawn,…

You look wonderful!

Happiness just exudes from this post! Look at that tiny waist!!! Great job!
