  • Chew gum to loose weight. Just don't overdo it! http://www.askmen.com/sports/foodcourt/foodcourt11.html
  • You could try the couch-2-5k program, which is working great for me. At the end of the 9th week you're able to run 5 km. You should see those two links, if you're interested: http://www.cairnscommunications.com/fitness/couch-to-5k.htm http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/

  • It's not as difficult as it may seem, especially if you're following the couch-2-5k program. To make things even easier there is a podcast, with 9 episodes to put on your mp3 player with the couch-2-5k program. With the podcast you don't even have to think, just follow the orders and listen to the music! I highly recommend…

  • I can tell you what worked for me... I get much exercise so I can eat more. I should be eating 1800 calories per day, but I know I would be starving if I only ate those. So I try to stay active, going jogging or working out at home so as to be able to eat more. I can tell you it that ever since I got into this website it…
  • I quit smoking a few months ago and I can tell you I was a really heavy smoker. Anyway, it was really important to me quitting so I didn't mind eating and gaining weight, as long as I didn't smoke. So, maybe in the first couple of weeks I must have gained a few kilos but I started feeling really nice and my legs started…
  • I saw it on Polar's website and it seems really nice, but it costs a little less than 120 euro here in italy, which is too much for me. Plus, I don't get it, why doesn't the website say anything about the chest band? Since I can see that they do sell chest bands separately, I wouldn't want to spend all that money just to…
  • Reading this forum I realized that it actually is a really good idea to get myself a HRM, as many of the people here seem to have. I was looking online but I am getting really confused. First of all I understood that there are 3 types: the ones that you have to press your fingers on two pieces of metal to get a reading,…
  • Maybe in theory, but in practice the human body does not work exactly like that. You don't only burn body fat whenever you are in need of energy but also (and mostly) sugars and proteins. That is, among others you also burn muscle. So if you're on a diet you'll just burn a bit of muscle and then your daily energy need will…
  • Muscle weighs more than fat. If you replace some fat with muscles you might even gain weight, while you will look thiner. The inches you lost off indicate that everything seems to be going fine!
  • I have it and it's really nice. I mean I like it, it's fun but it gives a nice, but not great workout. I only use it in the morning, as soon as I get out of bed and in the evening. Then for the real work out I use Yourself! Fitness. But WiiFit is actually a great idea since it aims more in changing the way of life.

  • This might not be what you have in mind but: playstation 2 (or XBOX) (are really cheap nowadays) + Yourself! Fitness + stability ball + step + 2 hand weights. That's how I started exercising and I am very happy. It's a great home workout.
  • I am Greek but currently living in Italy and will be moving in less than a year, probably in Sweden!
  • You have no idea how much better I am feeling! It's like I could run all day, only that I actually can't. :) Now to lose a few kilos and get back into shape!
