you have to eat back your exercise cals, youll find that you eat more than you used to especially when the food choice is healthier than your previouse diet. Thats what i found.

thanks for the replys, i suspected it wouldnt matter. i have no airconditioning in the gym i use at work and it gets pretty hot in there (avg of 45oC) I drink plenty of water during my workout to combat the dehydration.

i just went to scoobys page and done the calculation. my bmr is 1886 maintenance intake is 3253 daily rec intake is 2602 i have been using mfp and it has suggested that i eat 1950. and then if i exercise for an hour thats approx -700 calorie of which i have to eat back say half. so that makes it 2300. seems like a lot of…

I work on a mine site so i dont really have access to the open road. i walk at 6.2kph on the hill program for an hour and that gets my heart rate at 65% for weight loss. so i am pretty happy with that. i sometimes run just to mix it up. whatever works for you is pretty much the concensus here. keep it up

Thanks for the help. with the calories burnt i am just going off what the treadmil is saying, i do question the accuracy of these things. i am starting to understand this a little more.

I had set a target a 1kg a week. i will change that to 500g a week as i was looking to be aggressive to start with to shed a few then balance out. in eating 2100 calories a day, exercising for 1 hour a day (burning 700 calories) does that mean that i should be eating 2600 a day? or only eating back some of those calories?…
