I use a heart rate monitor watch to calculate calories burned and I measure my food by the cup. I don't really eat meat often.

I lost 36 pounds that way prepregnancy. It works.

My daughter is almost 4 months. I still have 11 pounds of baby weight to lose. I would love it if we could all motivate each other.

I went three weeks without losing anything, but the following week I dropped 4 pounds. If you don't want to wait to see if you stay at this standstill for another few weeks, I suggest changing up your exercising. For me, I was doing cardio for 60 minutes a day, but when I stopped losing I shifted it to 13-26 minutes of…

I am just going to say that those other people are not you. You are you and you are BEAUTIFUL. You've got the body shape of Marilyn Monroe and you should feel good about the way you look! Rock that bikini on vacation because you're rocking it in your photo. Don't hide from others. Let them be jealous of your looks! You may…

I have two and haven't really noticed a difference in them, but they're on my arm and shoulders so not really much of a difference in their sizes from the time I got them until now.

I was having problems like that so what I decided to do was have something semi-sweet first thing in the morning and it's been working great for me. I have apples and peanut butter or hazelnut spread before work with a snack around 9am. I've pretty much kept binges to a minimum doing this. It's worth a shot if you want to…

As long as I can fit the chocolate into my calorie goal, I eat it whenever I feel the want come up for it. If I go over, I just work it off. And I never feel guilty if I don't work it off. It's just another day to learn from my mistakes.

MFP overestimates calorie burns so a HRM is better to use. I paid $7 for mine on Amazon. The differences between what it said I burned and what MFP said I did ranged from 100-300 calories. Big difference! HRMs are a better estimate based on your weight and heart rate for the exercise.

Sundays. I dot own a scale as of yet, but my grandma-in-law does and we're there every Sunday.

First you have to let him decide what he wants to do: lose weight or build muscle. It is much harder to build muscle on a calorie deficit for losing weight. Then he needs to decide if he absolutely wants to do this and suggest him joining this site. He doesn't have to exercise and he doesn't have to watch what he eats. My…

Welcome! Please feel free to add me if you'd like. I have steadily lost 1-2 pounds a week and would be glad to help you out.

A heart rate monitor will be closer to an accurate calorie burn than anything else. You would have better luck using one and eating 75% of your calorie burn back.

I went three weeks without even losing a pound. I wasn't taking in enough calories to balance out what I was burning off and my body rebelled. So I decreased my exercising to 9-13 minutes of jogging and ate back 75% of what I burned. I got off of that plateau and dropped 4 pounds! What you need to do is measure your food…

I'm so sorry you experienced this. No matter what our society claims, we are all still judged and rejected for silly reasons. That's partly my push to get healthier and prove everyone they were wrong. You can change your appearance. They can't change the ugliness inside of them for how they treat people. Most do it for…

1) don't get worked up over it. I have them every other week so I don't binge eat. It helps keep me on track and I'm not looking for fast results. I'm in it for the long haul. 2) don't look at it as a diet. It's never helped me or most people I've talked to on here to be in that mentality. Think of it as a new change. 3)…

As long as you net the calories MFP gives you then no. If you don't net what MFP tells you or round about that number, then yes.

I definitely agree with this! I've tried diets that wouldn't last me more than a couple months then I'd gain extra weight back. MFP definitely makes it so much easier and being out of the diet mindset helps as well. I've lost 21lbs and that's more than I ever did doing diets.

Many people only eat a % of their exercise calories back since MFP overestimates calories burned and even heart rate monitors can be off a bit. Most will say eat back 50-75% of their exercise calories. What I do is I eat when I'm hungry and depending on how many calories I go over what I should bet based on MFP, I exercise…

I ave tried several times to get healthy and lose weight because I wanted my boyfriend to be proud of me and to motivate him to lose weight, but they failed. Now I'm doing it because I'm not happy with my job and I want to become a FBI field operative. I've been wanting to for years, but never had been motivated to look…

Excellent job! You look great!

Same thing happened when I moved in with my boyfriend. I was 130 and my heaviest has been with him (187). I told him he's the reason why and it makes it harder that he won't work out with me.

I burn 4000-5000 calories at work alone each week depending on what type of paper we are running each day. Not sure how to calculate that in with 6-7 days a week exercising (burning 100-400 calories to get to the right net calories).
-
If it is giving you so much trouble, I do recommend going to your doctor or a nutritionist. How many calories was all of this? Is it near your calorie goal? I can eat 2000 a day, but more than that and I can't take it. Maybe you need to change it up some? Try other foods perhaps. But definitely seek some advice from…

That 3lbs was most likely water weight. Definitely listen to the other posters. It's going to take more than 2 weeks for it to come of doing it the healthy way. Most I've lost at one time was 4lbs, but I had been on a plateau for three weeks.

My Hispanic coworkers are always offering me sweets and every few months the company buys us either BBQ or bojangles.

I'm currently at 33% and my goal is 18-20%.

MFP definitely overestimates calorie burns. It told me I burned 600+ calories for 60 minutes of Zumba when I only burn 455 based on my heart rate monitor. Definitely invest in one or don't eat back all your exercise calories. I net between 1520 and 1600 a day. My BMR is 1510 so I try to go a little over daily. I never go…
