I eat the Progresso Lenti Soup two or three times a week. I don't eat the whole can - just half for a serving. Sometimes I put a little whole wheat pasta in it, but it also good with just some parmasean cheese.

You should then go get a yogurt and dip your banana with nuts in it! Really push them over the edge.

I would switch out those breakfast bars for some steel cut oatmeal or even the Bob's Red Mill 10 Grain Hot cereal. I try and have closer to 200 calories at breakfast so that your body has more fuel for the day. Under 200 calories is not a good "meal" and will leave you hungry and making poor snack choices! (Like a 300+…

I've done cleanses & colonics and I think they both work in the right time and place! But you also might want to try psyllium husks as a good source of "moving' fiber. You mix the husks with water or apple juice (I use both) and it usually takes about 3 - 4 days before you see regular results. I've been taking it for about…

It might be a good time to try staggering your calories. Your body might be stuck in a rut, and changing up the calories you eat by going up and down a couple of hundred each day (but ending up with the same weekly total in the end) might help. You can search for posts in the forums that discuss this in detail. Or check…

It is hard at first...but then you just kind of get used to it! Now I even sneak a Snapple into the movies, as that was the last place that I could not seem to avoid the soda. It might help to try flavored seltzers to wean yourself off the Pepsi. This way, you still feel like you are having a little soda, but it is not as…

I've been training for a race so I am on the treadmill every day. This past weekend I took a kickboxing class and then a power sculpt class and by Monday I could barely move! In the kickboxing class we did 200 lunges, 200 squats, 200 push ups and kicking and boxing...all in 45 minutes! Once I was able to actually get up…

You re-weigh yourself after you go to the bathroom!

Weight Watchers Fettuccini Alfredo w/Broccoli and 5 Ritz Crackers. It's is a rainy miserable day here and there was a line to get your food in the microwave in my office today!

Well, I definitely have a love-hate relationship with the carbs! If left to my own devices, I think my diet would be about 90% carbs with some fruits and fats mixed in (gotta butter my bread!). When I went off of carbs, I had low energy, severe irritability, headaches and an inability to concentrate. I was shocked at how I…

Thanks - I am only using it for walking, so maybe my walking is just not aerobic enough! I didn't even realize it would count for dancing, etc.

That is awesome! I think clothing sizes are a great way to measure success! I remember dropping a size in jeans and saying to a friend that I was going to go out and buy the same pair I had, but a size smaller. It didn't make sense to her since the old jeans still fit, but I was like "If I can be a size smaller, I am…

I was watching "The Doctors" at the gym this morning and they were all talking about their favorite healthy foods and pumpkin seeds were one of them! They were one of several foods that can boost your immune system.

I haven't gotten it yet, but have read really good reviews so far. You might want to check and see if your local video store or game store has it available for you to rent first. I wish I would have been able to rent that terrible, terrible Jillian Michaels game for the Wii before I bought it. It did not work AT ALL and of…

How amazing that 66% of people took the stairs because it seemed more fun! I would totally take those stairs if I saw them - it would be a nice change to the boring subway stairs that I go up and down every day now!

Do you have your display set up to show you the total Fiber? In another thread here, someone mentioned that you can subtract your total fiber from the total carbs for a more accurate number. Once I started doing that, I realized I was not as over my carbs as much as I thought I was! I am also a vegetarian and I know how…

I just made this stew from a recipe I found on Epicurious and it is really good! Great for a lunch, or you can have it as a dinner on rice or quinoia. It is super easy to make, probably even easier if you have a slow cooker and can just throw it all in. Enjoy! Green Bean, Zucchini and Potato Stew 1/4 cup olive oil 1 cup…

Actually, I saw your smoothie recipe on another topic...can you tell me how you make it? When you say 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup collard greens, etc... -Are you using raw vegetables? Or do you steam them ahead of time? -Do you chop them up first? -Do you use a juicer or just a regular blender? -How does it taste? I am doing…

I love my Wii Fit! But just like anything else, it is only going to work if you use it! Some of the benefits for me: - It is right there in the middle of the living room floor, ready any time I want to use it - The scale is very accurate - Variety of excercises all in one (yoga, strength, aerobic, balance, etc...) I think…

I just happened to see this today - looks really good and you can have leftovers! Zucchini Breakfast Casserole Recipe Ingredients 6-8 eggs 1 cup ricotta cheese 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce or other hot chili sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 3 cups grated…

Wow, I am already up to 50 ounces in 5 hours! But I don't want to get out of bed to make 5 trips to the bathroom tonight, so I am going to try and double up in the next two hours. Of course, today is the day my work ID badge doesn't work, so I have to borrow one from a co-worker constantly!

It really depends on how vegetarian you are! Do you eat eggs/cheese/dairy? If not, oatmeal is always good - and you can throw in healthy adds like fruits or nuts. Some people need a heartier hot breakfast - you can take a whole grain pita or wrap and fill it with some lightly sauteed vegetables - anything you like! I also…

I use the LightLife vegetarian ground "meats" and I think they are really good. But I also haven't eaten meat in almost 20 years, so my palate might not be the same as yours! But I think they are a good substitute in chili, sloppy joes, tacos and pasta dishes. The Smart Ground "Original" is sort of the all-around good for…

I feel the same way! I drinking more water, and cutting out as much salt as possible. I've also started taking my vitamins again, and drinking organic greens for a detox boost.

I wish I would have seen this earlier...it is 2:31PM and I don't know if I can get that much water done in the rest of the day. But I'm going to try!

I had a problem with coughing after I worked out and as it turns out, I had exercise-induced asthma! If your coughing keeps up, you might want to check with your doctor!

I have definitely found that working out later at night gets me kind of wound up and it takes me longer to go to bed and fall alseep. It really depends on how you feel. If that is really the only time that you have to work out, then try it for a few weeks and see if it works. I've worked out as late as 9:00PM, but I don't…

This is an interesting article about using vegetarianism as a *diet* diet. As in, a "to lose weight" diet, not a lifestyle diet. http://www.epicurious.com/articlesguides/healthy/news/diet_vegetarianvegan

It is so bizzare to me how people will get so defensive and combative about another person's choice not to eat meat. Maybe I am overly-sensitive to the topic, but I always go out of my way not say anything to my friends who opt to eat meat when we are dining together. At my beach house where we share meals, I will even…

Giving up soda is SO hard!!! I have found it to be one of the hardest things to do in my efforts to lose weight. If you are down to one a day for the caffeine, then try another substitute like herbal tea. Just don't start on those crazy Starbucks coffees and frappuchinos, which are just as bad for you as the soda is!! Or…
