  • I'm doing it! I started it last week. Once I finish the month, I want to do the P90X / Insanity Asylum hybrid. I've done Insanity and Insanity max 30 and so far, this ones hardest for me because I've never does this type of training. Crazy workout!!
  • I LOVE it even more than original Insanity. No equipment needed (like the original Insanity) and you PUSH hard for 30 minutes. No long warm-up or stretching in the middle like the original either, which I like and prefer since I have two babies and need to get the most in a short amount of time.
  • Hey girl - I am starting it next week as well and so excited but unfortunately, I am in Vegas, LOL. I am also looking for a support group to talk too. - Good Luck!!!
  • I started on Monday!!! I am on day 4 and did abs this morning... I just had a baby 7 weeks ago so they are weak, LOL ... My favorite workout so far is the total body circuit. TOmorrow is double up day but I might have to take tomorrow as my off or stretch day and double up on Saturday because a newborn is unpredictable so…
  • O-M-G girl! I hope this recovery is better than last time. Wow, sounds horrible/painful. I had an emergency C-section an am 13 days PP now. getting anxious to feel completely normal.
  • Gained 5 lbs. total. At 13 days PP, I have lost a total 10 lbs. and cannot wait to start training again but since I am C-section, it will be a few weeks. 5'8" height Pre-Pregnancy weight: 145 LBS Delivery: 150 lbs Today: (unofficial weight from the Pediatrician's office) 140 lbs. I will get my official weight tomorrow.
  • Wow thank you ladies! I am so eager to start training again :)!
  • Awesome - I will talk to my doctor about it.
  • one week PP and have yet to weigh ... I am going to wait until my two week postpartum appointment next week. I do not have a scale. I do fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans though, so that is progress. Since I had an emergency c-section, I am not certain when I get back to running.
  • Congratulations! There is a pregnancy message board on MFP. It's called, Fit Fabulous and Pregnant!!!
  • I have found that EVERY doc is different on their views. Some think that calorie counting is beneficial and necessary but other's look at it as a negative. It can be a negative if you let it run your life but if you explain to the doctor that you want to be in control of you weight gain and be as healthy as possible, I…
  • HI girl - FIrst off - Congrats! I only weigh and have only weighed at my visits. I am 37 weeks pregnant now so my appointments are weekly anyway. I contemplated buying a scale but I opted not to and to use my clothes as a measurement for how much I was gaining, which appeared to work for me as I am wearing my regular…
  • @ 36 week appt I did not gain and have gained a net total 5 LBS
  • I did not start my pregnancy overweight but what if you ask your nutritionist about the diet for Gestational Diabetes? A lot of women who follow that either do not gain at all (in a healthy way) or actually lose weight. The numbers are broken out by carbs, protein, etc and it's my understanding that the focus is remaining…
  • I don't think you'll gain with that amount? How long have you been on that calorie count?
  • Hey momma - I am right there! Unfortunately I was told at 33 weeks (now 36 weeks) to stop wokring out. Regardless - I am tired ALL THE TIME and feel that even if I could, I wouldn't. What is your calories count right now?
  • If anyone understands how you are feeling, I do. Now, I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and I gained weight the first tri due to carbohydrate intake but once that craving ended, I cut back and was/is able to control the weight. With that being said, I have gained too little weight (according to my doctor) so I am by no means…
  • Thanks for all of the support!

  • @k_Parkman - At 33 weeks, I had gained 9 lbs total. And I do not mind you asking.
  • I'm 35-36 weeks and up to 33 weeks, I alternated between jogging/walking 4~5 miles and Sara Haley DVD's, which I loved. But at 33 weeks I was told NO MORE WORKING OUT, due to lack of weight gain and baby measuring small. Since I quit working out, baby gained .8 LBS in one week!!! So that was good. I think it was because I…
  • Thanks sweetie! You're most def. right. I need to accept and chill. I mean, ****, I have 30+ days to go! LOL. I find it crazy how difficult it is to train your mind to think a different way, you know? I am by no means trying to diet or hurt Jayden (baby boy :-) but I naturally eat the way I eat and workout really hard, so…

  • @DawnieB1977, Yes, you are correct. As of 33 weeks, I had gained 9 lbs so yes, I should gain and that is why I am not allowed to exercise now. It's just hard to change !!! Oh and she said no extra activity other than my daily physical activity required to live my life

  • YES, that is why I am going on Friday so they can get more "Accurate" measurements. Weeks wise, he is measuring 2-3 weeks behind!!!
  • Thank you for the sweet reply @DawnieB1977 and I agree, sometimes I feel like ignorance is bliss.
  • Yes, I go in on Friday for an ultrasound with the technician.
  • Thanks everyone! MFP is showing my maint. as 1800 calories.
  • For what it's worth, I am the opposite. I have been tracking my calories, measuring, exercising, obsessing etc this entire pregnanct. I am now 34 weeks and have gained 8-9 LBS! I started out in normal weight range but low body fat as I have/had a lot muscle. Anyway, I gained 7 LBS in the first 20 weeks and nothing since…
  • Thank you for the informatoin all!! I guess I did not realize that MFP calculates your calories, based on your goal, without excercise. I will look into it right now. thanks ya'll.
  • I understand how you are feeling girl. I was super anxious about gaining too much too fast. Well, I am 34 weeks pregnant and at my weekly appointment yesterday, she classified me as IUGR! I cannot workout and now am worried about my boy. With that said, IUGR can be caused my a lot of different things BUT I cannot help but…
  • Thank you for responding. I don't have high blood pressure so that is not it but I too have heard those u/s measurements are inaccurate. I think I am more upset that his head doesn't match his body and that my stomach is small. I cannot help but feel it's because I have monitored every calorie I've put into my body for…
