  • Thank you for the reply. Do you any links, whether it be on mfp or otherwise, on recomping?
  • I still look 'soft' but it is probably because I still have a high body fat percentage. I weight 147 and my body fat measured between 24-26%. There are females that I have seen that weigh the same and don't look soft. I think I just need to focus on eating healthier and dropping my body fat a bit more so my body starts to…
  • @Sabine_Stroehm I am a female, lol, sorry I should have mentioned that. Thank you everyone for the advice
  • I ordered 2 body fat calipers online. My fiance took the measurements and I took 3 sets of measurements per instructions 3 times to get a more accurate reading. My body fat was not tested at 168.
  • What happens on day 22?
  • I know I have not posted but I just finished phase 3 and I have officially completed body revolution however I was not consistent with eating healthy so I did not see the results (my fault). I am going to restart JMBR Monday and including a boxing class on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Thanks for the help. It feels both ackward and heavy. I definitely would ask a person at the gym but the weightroom is desolate, lol. And the employees at the gym recommended that I start on machines before picking up weights. Also, when I go back tomorrow I'm going to start with a lighter barbell and go from there to get…
  • I do HIIT and boxing along with Barre and Yoga. However Barre and Yoga I do not necessarily burn a ton of calories. For the record, I am 149lbs and my hips measure at '42 inches, that is fairly large for someone who is 149 and 5'6. I do have naturally wide hips but this access fat on them is bothering me.
  • Even on my HIIT days, Yoga is relaxing for me and I try to do at least 20 minutes of it and the end of my workout. Barre is not super intense however it does make you work, but not as crazy at HIIT. My HRM usually puts my heart rate when performing HIIT anywhere between 175-190, depending how far I push myself.
  • I started yesterday and finished today so I am Level 1 Day 2 and my left knee has been bothering me. I am assuming it's because of the pushups on my knees.
  • Everyone did a good job of summarizing what I was going to say. I am actually starting the 30 DS today. I did it last year but only made it to Level 3 Day 1 and stopped because I got sick (non-related to this dvd) and did not really eat like I should have been so I did not see optimal results.
  • I was very gangly and thin as a child and then when I went to a 4 year university I became 'skinny fat'. I could eat whatever I wanted and still maintain a nice figure however I was by no means healthy. After graduating from college in 2011, I am about 35 pounds heavier then I should be. Also, I started seeing my now…
  • I hope this helps, http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/08/22/running-properly/ I am reading through it right now and the articles does have some pretty good tips, good luck!
  • I do the exact same thing! I usually stretch right before jogging/running on the treadmill but I still catch myself doing it, it's just force of habit. And also like you, I do not walk on my toes or anything but when it comes to running and jogging, I do. When I realize I am running and leading with the front of my foot I…
  • Thank you for the replies everyone. Today was just the initial assessment and he wanted me to sign up for some personal training time but I was back and forth so he offered a free full 30 minute session next week to see how I like personal training and if I like it, I can sign up for some time. I am going to ask him to…
  • I have a 30 minute session with the same guy next Monday. I am going to speak up and tell him that I am going to weight lift and if he does not want to show me proper form and the like, that is fine and he will not be getting my money, plain and simple. I am hoping he will start to show me and I will pay for a few sessions…
  • Portion control! I also have a huge sweet tooth and love chocolate but now I am limiting myself to one sweet treat a week but I sometimes go over. If you really must always eat sweets, try dark chocolate, 80% or better is good. Try websites like skinnytaste.com or eatyourselfskinny.com or even the tone it up girls offer…
  • Oohh..now I feel like a dork. I changed my settings so it should be open for everyone. Is there are certain amount of posts I need to make before it can become open? *Face palm. I figured out how to change my diary setting and this time saved the changes.
