TROPIKALPUNCH

  • I used Herbalife a long time ago. Liked it, but yeah, it's pricey. I certainly couldn't do it nowadays. I recently found Whey Factors - unflavored (I made my first purchase at Whole Foods, but will buy at a supplements site - which is cheaper when this runs out) and I just add as scoop to my smoothies or I mix with milk &…
  • Isn't that the truth! However, if I am not hungry enough to eat all my exercise calories, I don't go looking for more to eat. For some reason it is easier to stop eating when you know you could have those extra calories if you really wanted them.
  • Besides it not being a very healthy thing to do - any weight loss that shows after forcing a sweat, is most likely going to be water weight than fat (actual weight)
  • You can only eat what you can eat. In my opinion, part of the reason we have gotten to the point that some of us have gotten to is because we have eaten food even if we aren't hungry so part of this journey is to listen to your body. Eat if you are hungry. On days when I have taken long hikes (burned/earned lots of extra…
  • You have had great success so far - congratulations, but, unfortunately, you can't expect that to continue. You can expect to lose fast, or lose slow, or not lose at all, or drop 5 lbs in a week, or drop .5lbs in a week or horrors of horrors - possibly gain! The only consistent thing about weight loss is it's…
  • Veggies alone, for me, absolutely do not fill me up. I might have just veggies for a snack, but not for a meal. If I felt like I had to eat like this all the time (depriving myself) I would not change my way of eating and I would go back to the way I was eating before. A good balance & variety will keep you on track. This…
  • I agree with XxMaryMaryxX
  • Sometimes it is just a matter of sucking it up and getting out and doing it. Believe me, I am not an exercise fanatic, but now, if I don't get my walk in during the day, I feel guilty. So the longer you force yourself to just get out there and do it, it gets easier and you really do want to get out there (and not only…
  • I usually get vanilla or unflavored protein powder - it's a bit more versatile, but what about these flavor options: Choco -Peanut Buttter - add 1T PB Choco mint - add a dash of mint extract (a little bit should go a long way) I used to like to get chocolate frozen yogurt topped with strawberries - you could add frozen…
  • DH did it a while ago - the fasting was killer for him as well. He lost weight fairly quickly and when he went back to normal eating he gained it back fairly quickly as well - it was a quick fix, but he didn't learn anything about eating correctly for life. And as noted by others, it costs a small fortune. I don't think it…
  • Preparing good food doesn't take that much time, really. It takes me longer to go through a drive thru line than it does to make a most the meals that I eat - and it saves me loads of money. I usually prepare my breakfast and lunch the night before then it takes no time to toss it in my cooler in the morning as I race out…
  • " I don't really see much of a difference " ?! Oh believe me there is a difference! You look fantastic. Keep up the great work!
  • Thanks for bumping this from last year. Great read!
  • It's not so much WHEN you eat as WHAT and HOW you eat. Be sure you are eating something healthy and that you are consciously eating - not mindlessly eating like in front of a tv or computer.
  • I don't use a juicer, but I do use a vita-mix. My husbands grandmother gave us one years ago because she wanted to see us eat better and was encouraging us to make whole fruit and veggie juices. I don't really do that, but I do make smoothies and one of my favorite things to add is cauliflower cause it adds veggies to my…
  • I weigh every day, but record weight loss once a week. If I'm not getting on the scale every day, I am in denial about something. It just keeps me accountable. Daily fluctations don't drive me nuts, but if they did, I certainly wouldn't be doing it so often.
