I'm on metformin as well and lost 60lbs. What has been bothering me lately is hormonal acne. My left jawline is full of tiny pimples. Always had clear skin. Are you on spironolactone as well?

Eat more veggies, they are lower in calories and keep you full longer. Well, it's also up to you to stay away from the high calorie treats. Having one from now and then won't affect your results if it's within your calorie range. Have a good and prosperous month of Ramadan. Hopefully, it won't be too hot.

Well, you did eat 1000 extra calories the night before. That food didn't magically disappear. It takes 6-8 hr for food to get digested. I don't recommend weighing yourself daily. Weekly could be better.

I tried the low-carb, but it was almost impossible for me. I love veggies too much. Now I eat normal amounts of carbs 100-150. Well, I wish I could. I have PCOS and pre-diabetes, so I have to watch my sugar and carb intake. I do agree that portion control should be her main focus, but I still stick with the healthier choices idea. Why drink your calories when you could eat them and not feel like starving an hour later.

500 calories is really low. She should take it at a slower pace. She should slowly start increasing her calories. She could become anorexic if she continues this way.

Why torture? She's just making healthier choices. I don't think eating junk food, sugary treats and drinking coke by fitting her macros, are gonna make her healthy. Why abt nutrition? I totally agree with the rest, but we have to watch out for nutrition too.
