  • I also noticed a huge increase in fitbit's calorie estimate when I upgraded from my flex to my charge HR. The flex was a lot closer as I had it linked and would eat back a portion of the added calories, normally I would have maybe 2500 calories total on a regular day and up to 3000 on active days. However once I switched…

  • Just call fitbit they will replace it. They replaced my broken flex after the warranty was up. Their customer service is great. I believe you have a 1 year warranty. Also you don't need a receipt, well I didn't either I just gave them the approximate date of purchase and the store.
  • I've had two surgeries in the last 6 months to repair (didn't work) then remove (approx 25%) of a bucket handle tear of my lateral meniscus. After the removal I was cleared to run 7 weeks later. Started off slow and am now up to about 3 miles 3 times a week. I was running about 5 miles before the surgeries but my knee was…
  • I tore my meniscus back in November had 2 surgeries, first was a repair but it didn't work, retore it in April and 3 weeks ago had it cut out, about 25% removed. My ortho said I should be back to full activity by the end of June and gave me some exercises to do at home. He said I could go to physical therapy but we opted…
  • It wasn't my primary reason for losing weight but the combination of increased activity and better eating dropped my BP from around 140/100 ish (about 14 months ago) to 124/81 (3 weeks ago). Over that time lost about 70 lbs (lost a few before joining mfp) Originally my dr said to either lose weight or possibly in the near…

  • I got mine at best buy. I have their credit card and used my reward points for it so it didn't cost anything either. They do have the full line of fitbit items if I remember correctly, even sell extra bands in different colors.

  • You can also try over the counter sleep aids. Basically Benadryl without the other stuff in it. Buy the store brand though as it is a lot cheaper. Just don't rely on them every night as you can build up a tolerance (even though of course the box says otherwise). I quit 11 years ago and remember the sleep effects to be some…
