I am starting Insanity next week. I can't wait!! I really want to step it up this summer and I have heard AMAZING things about it! I will post updates after I start! Jen

It changed because you lost weight and it was updated when you changed your exercise plan.

Go workout!!! ANYTHING is better than nothing!! Stop feeling guilty, start moving!!

Honestly, I really don't know why it matters it was a "homeless" man. In this economy there might be a good reason he was down on his luck. Being overweight myself, I guess I am just more sensitive to being judged on appearances. I do know that it must have been dissapointing to be asked such a question when we are all…

Thanks! The pants I was wearing were tight, so I did try on a pair 2 sizes smaller and they were tight, but trust me a month ago it wasn't even close!!! Thanks!
-
Doesn't that feel great!! I am going for a new pair this weekend...hate spending money on clothes!!

I just made it last week and wouldn't let myself admit it till now! It's a great accomplishment! Great Job!!! Jen

 Can I just say that the sun does not give you Vitamin D? Vitamin D is activated by the sun. Meaning, you can take all the supplements in the world for Vitamin D and if you are not getting enough sun then it is completely useless. I learned this in my nursing class. Vitamin D is essential, but be careful with the…

Help! I need some real advice and direction for my goals. I want to do a marathon October 17th. I started running 2 weeks ago at the gym. I am trying to build up my endurance first, slowly adding time, which in turn will add distance. I am not worried about food yet, I am still losing weight. But I know there will come a…

Usually an 1.5 - 2 hours...depending on the exercise...Most days I REALLY have to push myself. But the results I am seeing is so worth it. Myenergy level is up, I feel a sense of accomplishment, and I know that in the long run it will be worth it. I take it one day at a time though. As for eating my exercise calories, I…

When I head to the gym (EVERYDAY) I set a goal of 800-1000. However, I have almost 100 lbs to lose (well, I did, now I am down to just 76)!! So this is the time where I am really pushing myself. When I got sick last month though I didn't go to the gym, I knew my body needed the rest. To achieve this goal of 800-1000 I do…

I hate having to 'think" about the food I put in my mouth....probably what got me to this point in the first place! Doing well though, not too worried about getting through this month..it does get easier as the days pass.

How much weight are you trying to lose? In order to lose 1 pound a week, you must burn about 3500 calories so 7X3 = 2100 calories so you should lost about 1/2-1 lb a week (without exercising) Hope that helps! Jen

Well, this was a pretty good week for me. I lost 3.5 lbs and succeeded in not snacking or eating sweets. But I found myself having to remind myself NOT to have that sweet! (Candy, junk) Hope everyone else had a good week!
-
Hi there group~ I am so excited! I lost 3.5 lbs this week! Water intake was not a problem and I was really watching the late night snacking. I noticed I was doing a lot of that last week. I made it to the gym every day and hit my personal goal for burning calories. I am the lowest weight I have been in about 5 years, and…

Do you work in a restaurant? I do, and let me tell you when there is extra food or desserts!!! BAD!! I am still going strong...36 more days?
-
I really think that with this one change we will see better results! What is truvia?
-
By sweets I mean no candy, junk, etc,.... I have eliminated most dairy from my diet, only because it is higher in fat than I am willing to account for. I stick to water only, and I can always tell when I am not drinking enough.
-
I was really frustrated because there was no weight loss, but I see I am not the only one. Remind me that sometimes the bodt just doesn't do what we want it to do!! Is there a challenge for this week? Thanks for the chart...it's really inspiring! Grear job out there!

Chocolate is my best friend and worst nightmare....I hate having it in the house!

Day 2 of no sweets, I did well with the no sweets, and even succeded at no snacking after 7. True it was a late dinner, but I went to the gym with my daughter and then kept a huge water bottle by my bed so that I would reach for that instead of raiding the cupboard. 37 more days!
-
It's not that I am not eating after 7, just no snacking...I do it mindlessly. I know we can do this!
-
So far I have averaged 10 lbs a month, and I would love to do that a third month in a row!!! All my clothes are getting frumpy on me and I have a lot more energy. When is Easter? Jen
-
For my own personal goal, the only eating after 7 I will not be doing is snacks and sweets. I work, go to school, kids activities, so sometimes dinner is after 7. But that's where it will have to stop for me. So far I am snack and sweet treat free today. I have apples in the fridge, so I will probably have that tonight for…

The only way I drink coffe is with a TON of sugar and cream. So for me, I cutt coffee out from the beginning of my weight loss. It took a while, but now I can actually get up and function in the morning!!

For me fruits are essential. I have tried to switch to those at night for snacks, but of course we do need to be aware of the sugars. My focus is getting away from the mentality of "Oh it's just 1 cookie, I still have "X" amount of calories left".
