I really wish this was posisble because I am the same. When my weight is up my face looks better. When the scale goes down my face looks too thin and much older but my body looks better. If I have to choose....I'll take the body over the fuller face. Sucks but it is what it is

I agree with the other posts.... your first step should be to see a doctor. Diabetes can be treated but you need to know if you have it. I have seen both sides of it. My mom and dad both have diabetes. My dad was on insulin and did not control his sugar properly and his health suffered a lot because of it. Sadly he…

I first joined mfp when I was 42yrs old and lost 100 lbs with the support of friends on here and a lifestyle change. The past year has been a struggle for a few reasons and the scale started to go in the opposite direction. It scared me to see the scale creep up. I have about 40 lbs to lose and I am determined to achieve…

I m 46 yrs old and I'm back on mfp to regain control of my weight loss. It's been a rough few months with the loss of my dad and having foot surgery a few weeks ago. I am determined and plan to make the scale stop going in the worng direction. Feel free to add me

Super bowl foods are always yummy. I would love some hot wings and a cold beer but I'm going to try and stay on track. Thanks for the alternate recipe ideas. I wont be making them for tomorrow but do plan to try a few.

Your transformation is amazing, so inspiring!!! I apologize if this question was already asked but my concern is loose skin/muscle tone. I have been very focused on my weight loss since January. This time around is different, its been a mental transformation for me as well. I think that's why I have always gained it back…

I have about 100 pounds to lose. Let's do this!

Good luck to you on your restart! I also decided not to wait until the new year to get back on track. Let's drop some pounds before 2015!

Congrats on your loss....good job! Good luck on your journey. Stay focused and you will reach your goal. Take it one day at a time.

I have the fitbit one and I love it! Good luck on your weight loss journey. 50 lbs...you can do it!

I don't like TRX bands. Too gimmicky for me. I prefer tried and true strength training. I'd do a proven 5x5 beginners lifting program (Ice cream fitness 5x5 is my favorite) along with a caloric deficit to achieve the most optimal results. TRX bands are okay but I feel they are not as optimal as barbell/dumbbell training.…

Just take it one day at a time and you will get to your goal. I have been using MFP since April and this time my weight loss journey is different. I am making lifestyle changes and not giving up. I have had a few fluctuations in my weight but It's ok if I have a bad day...I just own it and start fresh the next day. Try to…

I had the fitbit force which you wear on your wrist just like the flex. I really liked it but I returned it because it was recalled within the 30 days that I bought it. I then decided that the fitbit one might be better for me because like you I have to use my hands a lot for work, putting gloves on and off and washing…

I find summer eating difficult as well. This month I have been going to many graduation parties for nephews as well as some birthday BBQ's. I handled them all well however this weekend BBQ was a big challenge. Most of the food was difficult for me to log accurately because it was homemade by someone else. I tried to eat a…

I have been taking things one day at a time. I realize that I need to approach this weight loss journey different this time if I want it to last. It does seem overwhelming at times especially when the scale does not reflect the efforts. You can do this! I have tried to also focus on how I feel and the inches lost in…

I have tried all of the work fixes that they recommend on the fitbit website. I also attempted to place a pin in the bottom of my fitbit one. In the end I ended up erasing all of my information. I never had a problem with the syncing from the fitbit to the MFP website it was only a problem syncing from the device itself to…

Thank you for all of the great info. Everything I have tried so far hasn't worked. I have used my fitbit everyday for about 4 months now and I really want to get this working properly again. If all else fails I may need to purchase another one which stinks. Thanks again!

Now is the time.....you can do this!

Bump - to view later. I also tend to eat similar food daily for breakfast and lunch.

It's awesome that you found the combination of diet and exercise that works for you. That's half the battle right there. This is my first time using MFP and so far it has been a great experience as well. I have been here for 3 weeks now logging daily and this time the weight loss process seems different. I have never…

Hi, I am fairly new to this site as well. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and I have found it to be a great tool. I am 42 yrs old and plan to keep the weight off this time. I have too! I am not getting any younger and want to be healthy. It doesn't hurt to look and feel great in the process. : ) Congrats on your…

Awesome...congrats on your success! I enjoyed reading your responses to the many questions on this thread. I checked out the youtube video on your profile page and the transformation is amazing! I will definitely try the healthy brown paper bag popcorn idea. I'm only starting week 2 so I have a long way to go but I…

I had a fitbit force for a little under a month right before it was recalled. I did like that you could just put it on your wrist and forget about it. I figured since it was new to me and recalled I would exchange it for the fitbit one. I didn't like the fitbit flex because I want to be able to see the monitor. I have had…

42 Female 5'7" SW: 254.4 CW: 250.4 GW: 175 New to MFP and just starting my weight loss journey again! I have definitely been a yo-yo dieter. The most I have lost in the past was 80lbs. It felt so great however the weight returned. Even though the pounds were gone the emotional part of my eating issues weren't dealt with…

This is my first week using MFP and the first time I have ever counted calories. I was also glad to see that the food list with different brands made it so easy....it takes the guessing away. I have done many diets in the past with food logging but not with calorie counting. I figured I would try the calorie counting this…
