  • If you're buying it in bulk, it probably doesn't come with a scoop. Is that right? Check out the website maybe? Here you go: http://www.myhalalcenter.com/productimages/temp/HNC_Vanilla.pdf
  • I see that you're in WA state too. Are you aware that there is a whooping cough (pertussis) epidemic here? Have you had your booster? You should see a doctor right away. I hope you feel better soon!
  • There are other people at the gym?
  • Tea Forté Cherry Marzipan is so yummy. (the website description: "Special reserve green tea with the tart-sweet lushness of acerola cherries and the depth of nutty toasted almond.") Tazo Berryblossom white is pretty great too. Stash Green White Fusion is my daily go-to. Another good one. Just plain old tea flavor is nice…

  • I usually log it as circuit training (because that's how my boot camp class is usually set up).
  • My date was so boring that I'm sure it will bore anyone reading this. I went on a date with this guy (we were both teenagers), he asked me what I'd like to do one day. I said, "I've been thinking I'd like to get into radio." Other than ordering my meal, that was the last sentence I spoke. He talked the entire time about…
  • 5'10" and 140 lbs (which happens to be my current weight). I set my goal for 130, but I think that might be too low.
  • I'm a mom of 4 kids, which is one of the reasons I choose to eat healthily. Last Saturday we had 2 back to back birthday parties to go to. I had a small piece of cake at the first and said "no thanks" at the second. They know what my goals are and didn't bat an eyelash. No offense taken by any (that I'm aware of). It is…
  • I use spinach where ever lettuce would be used: salads, taco topping, wraps, etc. I also throw a handful in scrambled eggs (with a bit of onion), put it in lasagna, etc etc etc. I literally eat spinach about every day. Usually just by itself with a little dressing. I'm working for my Popeye arms. I don't see a better way ;)

  • I knit! (see profile picture - fingerless mittens that say "bam!" on one and "pow!" on the other. It gives me something to do with my hands (and I wouldn't want to eat at the same time and risk getting something on my lovely yarn) and it occupies my brain and then I have a lovely little accessory when I'm done. Nice yarn…
  • Yes to both. I use my workouts TO get past it. I don't know what I'd do without them.
  • I've been told by my gym instructors (who are also mothers) that for moms who have recently had babies and have trouble tightening up their stretched out abs, that plank position is best (but still doing crunches and other ab exercises as you are able). Congrats on the baby!
  • That's fantastic! The first time running, keeping up and feeling good about it is a GREAT nsv!! Is that you in your new profile pic? HAWT!
  • Hot mama! My husband pointed out my collar bones the other day and said, "this is my favorite part." (referring to my weight loss). Incidentally, my favorite part was him looking at me and deciding it was time for him to start working out again (he USED to be in better shape than me). What a great milestone. You're doing…
  • 1) I don't wear a cap because I'm lazy and my pool uses saline and not chlorine. 2) I don't wear goggles because I'm lazy (see a trend?) and my pool uses saline and not chlorine and my eyes don't get very irritated. However, I get seriously thirsty and go through a TON of water when I'm done. Saline has a downside.
  • I've added swimming and water exercise to my routine once a week to shake things up a bit. I used to be a great swimmer, but now I'm floundering a bit. I hope that before long I wont look so stupid, however I think (hope) it will help me achieve my goals.
  • Yeah totally. What is the deal with that?
  • I make it all the time. The first time I made it my then 4 year old saw me baking the squash and got whiny about it. Said, "I'm not eating any of that!" Then I made up his plate. It was 50/50 whole wheat angel hair and spaghetti squash and marinara with black beans and grated carrot in it. He licked the plate clean and…
  • When I was nursing more (down to once a day, if that) I just upped my activity level setting. This gave me roughly 300 more cals a day, which is what is recommended for nursing. I understand that you want to be more exact about it, but I haven't found that level of precision necessary. If he nurses way less one day, cut…
  • That sounds wonderful! If you're looking for additional recipes this one was one I came across recently. I am a sweet potato and black bean junky, so I can't wait to try them! http://thejoyofcleaneating.com/recipes/sweet-potato-quinoa-burgers/
  • You might be feeling it, but you don't look it! You are totally hot!
  • Thank you so much, Ruby! One day I hope to catch up to you!
  • Not sure if I qualify, but I'm feeling pretty hot today.
  • Like others have said, most gyms have an orientation for noobs. Use that. Also, take a deep breath and try stuff, make note of the names of things and youtube them, scope out the experienced folks and see what they're doing, make eye contact with someone and if they smile back at you ask a friendly question (but don't take…
  • ::stands and claps:: So true! So well said.
  • Gorgeous then; gorgeous now. The only difference is that now you are a TOTAL BADASS!!! <3
  • Yes you will, but I have no idea how many.
