Joining this challenge for the first time. I will set a conservative goal of 40 miles.

I will take the clean laundry off the ping pong table and start playing again. On the days when no one is around to play, I'll go for a walk in my neighborhood.

Do you jog or run?

From Montreal. I had to ask my teenage son what "YOLO" meant and with the explanation came a warning that I was not to use the expression. Since when do teenagers become the parent??!!

Didn't need this to be a bashing session...I'm 20 years old who wanted to treat my family for once rather then them spending all of their money on me. ^ As the mother of a 20-year old daughter, the gift I love best is spending time with her, especially during the holidays. I would be quite upset if she had spent money she…

My kids were tweens when we told them at Christmas that we were going to Disney. My husband and I organized a treasure hunt which eventually led them to a suitcase which contained Disney flyers. Took them a few minutes to fully catch on, but the screams!

You should definitively tell the instructor that it's your first class and ask him/her to help you adjust the bike. Make sure you have water and enjoy the ride!

You have plenty of time. Sign up for the Spartan workout of the day (on the website) that will help with strength, endurance and speed. good luck!

Canada here as well. I joined a clinic at the Running Room - it makes me accountable. I spent the money, so I go. Other than the financial aspect, I met a great group of people and we motivate each other. Can you make plans to meet a walking buddy a few times a week? It's harder to say "I don't feel like it" when someone…

You have to adapt to the world, not the other way around.

My first half is on Sunday. The last couple of weeks, I was having tightness in my left calf. I went to see a physiotherapist last week and she helped diagnose the issue. However, after seeing her, I developed an ankle issue and I could barely walk yesterday - needless to say I was in tears. I went back to physio this…

Most of my stuff is from Lululemon, Yes, it is pricier but it lasts for years. You can always check out the "We made too much" section of their website. Edited to add: If you have time, take a drive up north and hit the Nike and Reebok outlets in St-Saveur. MEC at Marché central is another good store.

Have you considered getting a second or even a third opinion? What if you need follow-up work?

I have two - my first ever at the end of August and a second one at the end of September.

It's true though. While our job is to guide and inspire, we don't eat for you or work out for you. This is why people who have success in body transformation deserve practically all the credit. Your body is earned. ^^This is so true. Once I reached my goal weight, a gym member said to me, in front of my trainer, "Your…

I recently treated myself to the Forerunner 210. I've used it on three runs so far and I absolutely love it; the HRM matches my old HRM. Unfortunately, I don't have much more to add to the conversation since I'm still figuring out my watch.

I signed up for my first half today: it will be on August 25 and I have a second one on September 22. For now, my training is tow short runs (5-7 k) a week and one long run (currently 10 k, but that will gradually increase).

You guys look amazing! Congratulations!

I married my best friend in October 1988; he can still make me giggle like a schoolgirl. He has seen me at my best, he has seen me at my lowest and he is still by my side. I thank God every day for sending this man my way. I am a lucky gal.

April 5 for me, April 6 for my son. Best bday gift a girl could want
