  • I quick sat down and it came to 220 calories. Much better. It uses olive oil, honey, whole wheat flour, old fashioned oats, bananas, almond milk and 2 eggs and the "condiments" as I call them. Much better. I realize too there is no short cut - the old fashioned way is the way to go!
  • Well, thanks for making my night! JaneiR36 - I love the IDGAF
  • Good for you - because you made it part of your day! I think deprivation really skews a person's view of food. Make it fit rather than not!
  • A medical facility cannot deny to see you because they don't take your insurance. you may have to pay more out of pocket or pay the entire bill, but it would be better than letting this go. They can put you on a payment plan to pay the bill.
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/3943T7 Feel free to add me. I've had it for a month now, but have been having an issue with a plantars wart on my foot. Hope to finally get back at it starting Monday!
  • I wish I had ALL day to read all the comments! It's nice to know we all do these things, I just wish I would learn from my own mistakes. Telling my husband to buy the Big Bag of Peanut M and Ms from Costco because it's cheaper probably not the best thing. He can take a handful and much on them all day long. Me, I take the…
  • I never knew how it calibrated so thanks for the info. I'm not sure if my steps are correct, but I know my HR is because I had used a chest strap for many years and my resting HR is right on as is when I am exercising. Some day I will check out the stride length!
  • Just bought a FitBit Charge yesterday. First full day today. I only slept 5-1/2 hours last night. I knew I slept poorly, but now I know how poorly!
  • Make my own and if you think those are the bomb - the homemade ones are better. Unfortunately, makes a big batch and too tempting - so stick with moderation and you'll be fine. I'll try to take my own advice
  • Thanks! I think I've been reading too many things lately, :) That is exactly what I was talking about. I'm a "have to see it on paper" kind of person. I have a hard time just "doing" it in my head! If that makes sense? There was something with 20% and then something with 15% and eating more and then eating less on days not…
  • Have you tried just pushing the search button without entering anything. Alphabetical order should come up.
  • I'm not really overweight. I tried it but realized I couldn't survive on 700 calories a day. Did it for 3 weeks and got my money back. Maybe I didn't give it a long enough try. I lost 4 pounds and some inches. But for me I knew it wasn't sustainable.
  • Great job! Thanks for the inspiration.
  • I had the stomach bug for 2 days this past week. What motivated me was the fact that I lost 2 pounds and I really wanted to keep it off. I've been really trying to watch what I've been eating for 30 something days, and then I didn't track because of the stomach flu and that bummed me out, which really determined me to get…
  • You are so right; it will take the rest of our lives to keep the weight off. I was fortunate to have lost 70 pounds after I completed my childbearing and I managed to, over the years, put 50 pounds back on. I'm bound and determined this time to get those pounds off and keep them off - LIFELONG! Thanks for the reminder…
  • Thanks! I'll try that.
  • Sounds delicious. I've finally hit the "I need new food" time in my weight loss! This sounds like a simple thing I can make and a quick meal for my lunch after it's all made. Thanks much!
  • I realized I have to actually soak mine in the sink while I am getting my workout clothes on and then it works like a charm. Sure, it's a little (well a lot) wet when I put it on, but since I've been doing that I have not had any issues with it not reading my heart rate.
  • I was wondering the same thing about the twinkie and vodka diet! Dang, I can't believe I missed it.
  • That is a really good idea. Thanks much!
  • Check this out, it may be helpful. I haven't budged in a long time and I've tried so many different things. I finally got this from one of the threads and I am going to try it. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Good luck! Laura
  • Thanks much! 2000 calories a day it is with my 4-5 days a week of exercise burning 600 calories. I'm going to give it a shot. Appreciate all the support and advice! Laura I know, it's not rocket science..............
  • Okay, I went to Scooby's site and this is what I got: BMR = 1617 TDEE = 2506 Daily calories = 2005 So, based on that I should be eating 2005 calories a day total. That is, if I wrote down all of my calories on a sheet, they should total 2005 and I should still lose 1 pound a week. (Yes, this includes 60 minutes of walking…
  • I got to read this later, but you're right - my bad on my TDEE, BMR, etc.!!! :) Thanks. I know I'm doing something hugely wrong.
  • Is that your "base" calories that you eat, no exercise calories? I have been stuck at just over 200 pounds for like, forever! I have tried 1200 calories, eating back my exercise calories, 1500 calories (TDEE) and eating back exercise calories and not eating back exercise calories. My body will not budge. I burn 600…
  • Hi, can you please add me to the Easter Day Challenge, if you've still got room? Thanks much!
  • Great post. I'm not a new member, but been gaining and losing the same amount of weight for the last year! I blame it on a lot of things. I carry the insurance and because I do, my employer requires me to weigh in once a year and because I am not within the BMI they say I should be, I needed to lose 5% of my weigh-in…
  • Found it! This might give a little more insight. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/912920-in-place-of-a-road-map-3-2013
  • I would go with light activity. I think sedentary would mean that you literally sit for 8-12 hours a day with no/little activity. If you exercise even 3 times a week, then I would go with light activity. That is just my opinion. I just read something here last night about that. I will see if I can find it and repost it…
  • Thanks everybody. And I know, it comes down to just exercising so many minutes a day and eating less. I get that. I'm not looking for anything magical, and I appreciate ALL the posts. Great insight on a lot of things. I just have to remember this: eat to live, not live to eat! Have a greay day everyone!
