Banana muffin recipe 1431 calories!
I copied and pasted using the URL from these "healthy" banana muffins and they make 11. The calories per serving came out as 1431 for 1 muffin. I will go back, when I have time, and manually enter the ingredients. they are not double-sized muffins either!

Looking for a thread that had calorie cycling
There was a recent post this week, and I forget how I even stumbled across it, that was talking about setting MFP to maintain current weight and finding out your "base" calories. Then take 20% of that and when you lift weights, you eat those extra 20%. That's just part of the thread. I can't find it! Anybody remember or…

Jawbone UP24 and Android users? Anybody?
Does anybody have a Jawbone UP24 and use an Android phone? I have a Motorola Atrix and I am wondering if it will work with my phone and if not, I can just connect it to my computer, right, via a USB?

How to convert own recipe for serving size
I know a recipe says serving size 6, what I want to do is weigh my entire recipe in ounces or grams and then be able to take my serving size by that (rather than how many servings, doing it by weight). Does that make sense? I'm trying to figure that out but I don't know how to do that when I build my own recipe in MFP. Any…

Chicken brats from a meat market
I buy chicken brats from a meat market. They use no fillers. Trust me, these suckers DO NOT SHRINK and there is rarely any juice that flows from these. Any idea on how to lot these? It is from a local meat market so there is no calorie/nutrition available for it. Just wondering if anybody has any idea. I know that I won't…

Stupid heart rate monitor!!
I have a Polar FT7. I've had it for many years and used it on and off, but more recently I have been using it consistently, that is when it works! I've changed the batteries, I've washed and line-dried the strap, I rince it out every time I use it. I have it tight against my chest and I've soaked the parts we are supposed…

Starting again!
Long story short, I have a 16 yo son with cerebral palsy, currently in bilateral leg casts after hamstring lengthening, had a husband who had 41 was diagnosed with nonHodgkin's lymphoma and in remission 6 years, and this past December had a hysterectomy and both ovaries taken for, thankfully, no cancer (wouldn't know for…

Anyone familiar with Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVDs?
They are circuit training, but would that also be considered strength training? I don't like to lift just straight weights. I'm the kind of person that needs to exercise to something (like a DVD). I also have Wii Fit Plus and I can do training for that too - does that count? I love to walk for my cardio. Looking for advice…

I swear I have tried every which way.....
Eat back exercise calories, don't eat them back, increase my daily calories, only eat what MFP gives me. ARRGGHH! I have gained and lost the same 1.5 to 2 pounds for at least a month. I don't want to lose all the weight at once, settle for 1/2 to 1 pound a week, that's all. Measuring - yep, done that and there's very…

Maybe a stupid question about spuds.
Are they weighed/measured after they are cooked or before. I'm making sweet potatoes tonight for me (potatoes for the rest of the clan), and for some odd reason that thought crossed my mind! I don't know why. Thanks.

Looking for some insight please, re hormones and weight loss
I've been losing the same 3 pounds over and over (lose it, gain it, lose it, gain it). At one point 6 years ago I was at 155 pounds and I felt really comfortable. I've gained back 20 of those pounds and now I'm attempting to lose them again. I am 46 and female. Do hormones play a big role? I know the older we get the…

Introducing myself
I've been doing this for 25 days. I lost 4 pounds, gained 3 back. So, I started over again this morning. I actually did my "exploring" of the site and actually stopped to read. I know I can do this. I was barely eating any of my activity points, and I'm pretty sure that's where I screwed up. So, I've currently got 1…

Olive oil
Being a past WW member, we were always told to have 2 teaspoons of Olive Oil during the day; keeping the machine well oiled was the reason. I'm wondering if there are a lot of MFP members that do this or not? It doesn't take up a lot of calories and I'm sure is beneficial. Comments? Thanks. Laura

Adding to food database?
I'm trying to add to the food database, basically trying to calculate a recipe I made, but the choices do not include anything close to the product I have. Can I add this in myself? I don't need to add it to the entire database, just want to be able to calculate the calories, etc., from my own recipe. Can anybody help…

One week down
I started this 1 week ago and so I am considered a newbie! I start off good, usually losing 3-4 pounds but then end up putting it back on. I'm stopping this cycle!!! I'm a stress eater, so that's what I have to get a handle on. I look forward to reading a lot on the community boards to help me further. I know I will do it…
