I made my person version of the Scout Law. "I am A Family Man, Steadfast, Faithful, Athletic, Diligent, Effective, Neighborly, Creative, A Volunteer, Empowering, Happy, Adventurous, Humble, Inspiring, Liberty Minded and Filled with Charity." I invite all to make your own personal Scout Law. it took hours of soul searching…

I just wonder why everybody picks on the Redskins but you hear NOTHING about similar pro sports franchises (Blackhawks, Chiefs, Indians, Braves, etc.) Because they aren't giving millions of dollars to the Republican Party. Dan Snyder is, so he's the one targeted. This is a political attack. It is not about racism, it's an…

CNN has announced the Washington Redskins is holding a press conference today to change their offensive name. They'll now be known as the "Virginia Redskins." It appears that yes, the name Washington is offensive.
-
Look at who is against the name, Democrats. Dan Snyder gives millions of dollars to the Republican party. This controversy is not about the team name or mascot, it's all about hurting the other party. Look at how many Democrat Senators signed the letter claiming Snyder needed to change his "racist" team name. All Of Them.…

Three weeks in a row, no loss, no gain. This is lousy. I wish I was either losing OR gaining, this staying steady is driving me nuts. I did begin a new workout program today that is strength training and cardio. Fingers crossed.

Soapbox alert - Muscle is not heavier than fat. 1 pound is 1 pound. Muscle is denser than fat, but not heavier. So if I take a pound of feathers it is 16 ounces and a pound of lead is 16 ounces. One fills several, several pillow cases and one fills the palm of ones hand. Get a sixteen ounce steak (muscle) and sixteen…

I don't know if this'll be read, but for what it's worth... The best strength/conditioning quote ever, a reporter asked Mohamed Ali once how many sit ups he did in a workout. He replied he didn't know. The reporter incredulously asked how he didn't know. Ali responded that he didn't start counting until it started hurting.…

This is not showing up on the WW main page. I linked from the Groups opening page. I'm at 183, zero loss, zero gain. That's two weeks of no gain and no loss. According to the food diary, I should be between 172 and 177 in 5 weeks, that's going to be hard if I can't lose a pound in two weeks. Go figure. (No excuses, just…

Well, what do you know, Megumi has a soft side; she says we shouldn't separate the two brothers by executing Rich, so we take them both into custody. I make Rich haul his weight worth of pastries and other goodies in a wheelbarrow, with a semi flat tire all the way back to the Enclave. We make him eat raw spinach salad…

And as to making myself some ice cream, well that's why I'm on a weight loss challenge to begin with. Haha!
-
I began this with "The Overseer sends his regards," so what is your pleasure. Personally, I'd say put Paul into custody and execute Rich, but that's the dwarf in me. If you don't care, then I'll make a decision tonight after fencing.

Root, IBC, Dad's Diet Mug and homemade using dry ice.

What to do, what to do. Oh yeah! We attack! Wow, that Pip-Boy is kind of cool.
-
I only walked 1 mile last week (Walking on Sunshine) I did other exercises, namely a lot of push ups and squats, that and fencing, but only one mile walking.
-
I give Megumi a nuka cola. We both attack. Will I lose "Tiner Time" if I use it or is this a permanent perk? If I don't lose it I will use it this turn.
-
0 pounds lost. I have lost an inch around my stomach, but I'm still at 183.
-
Go Big Orange! Tennessee Volunteers all the way.
-
We both attack Rich. Megumi uses her special perk Halfway to Heaven. "Hey Rich, nothing's better than a frozen parfait, so I'll help you with my Frozen Scream! You should have run little boy."
-
We both attack Paul. Megumi (Magumi)? uses her special perk Halfway to Heaven and I use Frozen Scream. I also give Rich a nasty sneer while yelling "Run and hide little boy 'cause your next"

I completed the assignment to unlock/renew [Sympathetic Resonance].

Actually, I was buying the chocolates for Magumi because she's with me. It was my (apparently not so clever) way of saying who I took with me. I don't think I've seen anyone take her, so I felt it was time. If I can switch ok, if not then we'll both attack. If I can switch to Magumi, then we'll both attack. Switching may…

I will give this a try. Here's what has finally worked for me. I've found if I eat a combination of 2 cups fibrous vegetable (broccoli, leaf lettuce, etc.) and 4-8 ounces of protein (chicken, beef, bison, fish, even tuna-fish, etc.) and spice (1 cup jalapenos, liberal dose of hot sauce of choice) I am not hungry for 5 - 6…

It may be diet. It may also be metabolism. It may be the type of exercises. Myself, I exercise and work to keep net calories under 1300 and I'm not losing much (I'll lose 6-10 pounds over a month or two and gain it all back over a weekend. Go figure.) 5'6" and 180ish. I've decided I'm doing what I can and that's better…

Look to your family, long time friends, people at church, or those who are also working towards similar goals (MFP friends) for your support. Fast Food is just way to busy to receive real support from co-workers and most in that industry have not had the training to offer valuable support, just not enough opportunities at…
