  • I just received my PiYo yesterday and I'm looking to start it tomorrow! I haven't worked out in way longer than I care to admit so I'm hoping this is going to get me back into it and be something that I enjoy!
  • Ha ha!! Well, I figured it wasn't THIS year!
  • Yeah, I'm a little concerned, as most people are with any new plan. After mentioning the part above about not drinking much milk, I DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT CHEESE!! I adore cheese and would put in on ice cream if I could! Okay, not that extreme, but pretty close. That will be hard for me. However, I need to do something. I…
  • I have a Nook and I am currently looking at the eBooks they have, considering buying one. I would definitely like to read up on it more before committing to it. Thank you everyone, for your input!!
  • The link I posted at first was talking about animal fat. That grosses me out. I don't mind the fat in nuts and fish, but animal fat is yucky!!
  • I should have read the info on the website I posted. That one says to eat as much fat as possible!! The article I read talked about all LEAN meats! I must change that. I am not a big milk person necessarily, but I do eat yogurt. I think it is something I could eliminate. How did you do on it??
  • I'm very interested to see what responses you get from this. I am trying to lose weight (obviously why I'm here, lol) but I am also trying to change some of my boyfriend's habits. He also needs to lose weight, but has the same issues as you. The only vegetable I can get him to eat is corn. He is a meat and potatoes kind of…
  • ****HIGH FIVE**** That is fantastic!!! You should be so proud of yourself!!! I know we all are!! Keep up the great work!! :drinker:
  • From what I understand, the ads on here are based on your cookies (what you've searched on your computer and websites you have visited). I also don't have any idea what SlimBand is, but it could be that I have never searched anything relative to it.
  • Thanks for the link!! SOOOO informative!!!
  • It was sooooo yummy!! And Lexie, I also have a weakness for Subway's Tuna Melts! I'm not really a fan of anything "multi-grain" or "whole wheat", etc. But when it is crisped up in the oven, it's really not that bad! I also added jalapeno rings to it but I didn't include it here because it added A LOT of sodium and I know…
  • I was going to mention that! I am in the process of transitioning my honey to ground turkey. Hopefully the next time I will be able to make it with leftover turkey taco meat!
  • Me too!! I have a new obsession with it!!
  • And p.s. It is VERY filling!!
  • Yaaaayyyy!!!! Welcome!!! You will find EVERYTHING and EVERYONE you need to achieve your goal! The support system here is in unsurpassed!! Feel free to ask any questions you may have!! Christina :flowerforyou:
  • I am also a cheese fanatic!!! I could put it on just about anything!! As the saying goes, "Everything's better with cheddar!" I also am wary about trying new foods, but his recipe sound delish! I bet it would be good with a little broccoli in it too!! Thanks for the heads-up!
  • Oh, yum!! No picture needed! They sound delicious! Thanks for the recipe!!
  • Oh, believe me, I know how you feel!! My honey is AN EATER!! It is so hard to not pig out with him. But it get easier over time, especially once you start seeing the results! Whenever I feel my will-power wavering, I jump on the computer (to MFP, of course!) to give me a little reminder of what I need to do and get some…
  • I agree!!! No matter how "small" you think it may be, it is a huge accomplishment just making the decision to start this journey! Keep up the fantastic (and inspiring!!) work!!
  • What a great idea!! I also struggle on the weekends. Mostly because my boyfriend is home and isn't concerned with how he eats. We are typically always on the go so we don't have much time to make healthy meals. I think I will start trying to bring things along with me on our excursions so that when we stop at McDonald's,…
  • Try doing lettuce wraps instead of bread! Just roll all of the fillings into a lettuce leaf and stab a toothpick in to hold it together until you eat it!
  • After seeing the mention of "Flatouts", I went to the website and found this: http://www.flatoutbread.com/tex-mex-flatout-thin-crust-pizza/ YUMMMMM!!!!
  • I have a Papa Murphy's right around the corner from me and have wondered how good the DeLite pizzas are. I LOVE pizza but unfortunately I don't have the patience for making my own. Thanks for the info!! And to Jenn and JesaGrace -- Maybe I will try the flatbread pizzas you speak of. I will have to do some research. Thanks,…
  • Thanks for the info! It's nice to find things I can do from the comfort of my own home!

  • Thanks to everyone for your input. I have been successful with using MFP (I have been a member since '08), eating healthy and exercising. My best success story here is that by doing all of these things, I lost 33 lbs. But here I am again, gaining it all back and 10 lbs more. My thought process is that by using Alli, and…
  • Wowza!!! You two are doing great!!! I wish I could get my honey into it. We both need to lose about 50lbs and he is much harder to convince, making my will power a little less than adequate. Keep up the excellent work and continue supporting one another!
  • That is fantastic!!! Great job, keep up the great work!!!
  • Oh, and I'm with tynkaluk....booze for me = binging, Damn inhibitions....lol.
  • This won't work for your Girl's Night, but keep it in mind if you want to have a couple cocktails at home. And FYI - I think they are only available at Bed, Bath and Beyond or online. I had the Cosmo one - so yummy!! http://www.skinnymixes.com/ I used to drink a ton of beer but then I switched to Rum (just the cheap, well…
  • I need to pay attention to some of these ideas. The last week has been horrible for me. My boyfriend had previously been working nights so he had been sleeping during the day, allowing me to be make good choices. But over the last week he has been transitioning to a new job, and has been home during the day. He has a much…
