  • 1 - marinate in lemon and ginger. That really adds flavor. 2 - make moo goo gai pan. I stir fry with peapods and mushrooms. Add garlic. Yum!
  • I steam a couple of thawed filets (Sams Club Frozen Filets) in a fish steamer I got at Bed Bath and Beyond. Before steaming, soak the filets in lemon juice - it takes away the fishyness and freshens it. I put dill and lemon slices on it, but you can even let it soak in soy sauce for more flavor. Microwave with the steam…
  • Thanksgiving week - I had a bumpy couple of food days but kept going right back to my exercise. So I lost another pound in spite of it!! Still on track. December - my goal is to lose 15lbs by Xmas and I have lost 12 so far. Three weeks to go so I am sure I can meet that. 2014 - So thrilled to enter 2014 with weight loss…
  • Love my gazelle. I get bored doing exercise at home and hate DVDs. I can use the gazelle in front of the TV and there is no excuse not to. Also, when I fractured my ankle, it was the only thing low impact that helped ease me back into a walking routine and helped keep my weight in check. It never feels like I have worked…
  • I have struggled with the gym because I always feel like I could be doing something else. That is a woman thing!
  • Oh, one more.....cuties. The clementines are just the right size for a quick snack. Easy to peel and can travel in your purse when you think you will be away from your regular snacks. I split a bag between a bowl on my desk, and at home for me and my daughter.
  • Keep Tyson precooked chicken breast strips in the freezer. Throw them in a soup or on a salad to increase your protein to stay full longer. I put a handful in a baggie and put in the work fridge. They are defrosted when it's time to eat or heat up. Also wheat thins. When you want that salty snack (chips, not chocolate, are…
  • Hello there. I am so grateful to find a group like yours. Recovered now from a fractured ankle and starting this month with 30 minute walks 3 to 4 days a week. My goal is to get that exercise habit back after my long recovery - that has always led me to better eating choices, which leads to weight loss and great attitude.…
  • Are you a "fresh" advocate or do you think frozen works well? My 14 year old has shown interest, and I need to move in that direction for weight and health, but affording and keeping the fresh vegetables gives us a hard time. I wind up throwing some out and I can't keep doing that. I keep broccoli, spinach, green beans in…
  • I'm right there with ya, sister! I lost 20 lbs when I was so committed, and have gained back 7. I know what I need to do, start out right in the morning. and then eat-eat-eat at night. When it worked, I was counting calories and exercise, but I lost focus, and now have more stress in my life. I need to just be able to say…
  • Hi FAB FOUR - I am so ready to start again. Thanks for this!
  • I agree. After 3 weeks of not moving, I relaxed a bit and and ate a little differently. The next week I lost 3 lbs! It's like my body was thanking me for the change-up.
