This sounds like the beginnings of an eating disorder. I've been there. :( Please seek help to get you back on track to controlling these negative thoughts. Check out 'Orthorexia' ... it's what I suffered from. http://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/orthorexia-nervosa Do I Have Orthorexia? Consider the following questions.…

I'm in Michigan. :) Always up for new friends!

I run intervals, two minutes at 4 elevation and 1 resistance and then two minutes at 10 elevation and 8 resistance for 35 minutes. I burn 350 calories. :) I always watch and push to make sure I am doing about 10 calories per minute. Hope that helps! (also, I make about 3 miles on average during that time)

I'm going for a 2 minute sprint at low resistance, and then 2 minutes of high resistance/high elevation. I do this for 35 minutes usually, hitting about 3 miles. Am I calling it correctly? HIIT?

Short answer - yes.

I would say yes, it's a worthy investment. Not just for the dieting but for cooking as well. You get much more accurate results baking etc. by using weighed ingredients. Once you get used to using it, it will become easier. Also, be sure to get a scale that you can 'tare' the weight to zero with something on it, like a…

I'm a Navy Wife and the truth is, you handle deployments just like you handle any other problem. One day at a time. You're lucky, you've met him during one and are already getting the 'first deployment' over with! :)

I have hair down to my behind :) Twist and wrap your hair into a 'cinnamon bun' type of bun and use claw clips around the perimeter. I need two, one on top and one underneath. If my hair were thicker, I'd do four clips. I also wear bangs and use those snap clips to hold them back, or a spritz of hair spray and bobby pins.…

My smaller and 'daily' type goals don't really get physical rewards but when I make it to my ultimate goal, I know I'll be going to get a consultation for a breast augmentation. One of the things I lose when I drop weight is my chest. I go from a DD down to a very small B and my skin makes them look awful and deflated. I…

Check out this link - http://www.primal-palate.com/2010/12/rice-free-sushi_27.html There are also several types of rice substitute like cauliflower 'rice', konjac rice and quinoa. I think the hard part would be making any of those glutinous and sticky.

This is what I try to do.

It changes according to how much exercise you do :)

Depending on just how sore. If you are so sore that it hurts to lift a glass of water... take a break. For me though the only way to work through the soreness was literally. Work through the soreness. I remember day 3 my legs felt like painful stiff rusty hinges. After working through it though, I was okay! Also, invest in…

I live in Japan :)

I LOVE this girls physique, she has muscular legs that are a lot like mine and she shows that it can be sexy! - I have another photo but it's a girl in a really small bikini outfit and I don't know if I'm allowed to share it... *blush* UGH what's wrong with my img tags? Grr. I put them in small letters like this…

I drink 151 mixed with coke zero. One of those is 144 calories and a heck of a buzz. Check out this site - http://www.getdrunknotfat.com/

Mine has not affected my ability to lose (or gain) weight. I've had mine for a total of 8 years. I have been thin and chunky with it. My favorite side effect is NO TOM!! :D

Right. I know there's no way to say "Hey self, I want you to take fat from A, B and C. But not D." And the way to get body fat % down is a simple calories in VS. calories out ... what I was wondering about most from SPS guy was his 'afterburn' theory. Does it hold any water?

I just heard about this, anyone have any experience? I'm interested but would love some first hand info.

I have to wear shoes or the carpet hurts my feet. (Cheap rough rug!) and if I just wear socks my feet slip. (I do the 30DS)
-
Right??? This one seems painfully obvious to me! I've seen so many ladies out and about that could benefit from clothes that fit rather than squeeze. I'd rather LOOK slimmer in a larger size pants than walk around proudly in my smaller size (that no one can tell the size on anyway) with my muffin top bulging out of the…

Hah, I hadn't even been counting the hand weights in the 30DS as 'strength training'. I just thought of it as adding intensity to my cardio. I go to the gym 3 days a week and really lift heavy then. I do the 30DS on the other days and have one day off.

This is the BEST way!! How I do it too. :)

Welcome :) I'm still new-ish too and so far I really like being here. The motivation is wonderful and the accountability can't be beat!

Try looking for a flavorless protein powder. You can add that to just about everything. :)

*applause* :D

Yeah I took the sugar off my diary for that same reason. I'm more worried about getting enough protein and fiber. So long as your calories stay good and your fats are in check then don't worry about the sugar.

THANK YOU! :D I've been wondering what I'm doing wrong. Thanks again!

This is pretty much my goal :) To go from 155 to 125! Congrats on the 6 pounds, that's a lot for the first week. I'm doing right about 1 pound a week.

TOTALLY normal. Happened to me too. The hardest part of working out is sticking with it through the pain. It WILL go away, I promise. I would suggest taking some L-arginine to help with the muscle pain and soreness. http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/health-supplements/l-arginine-benefit-side-effect.html
