I lost 40 pounds in a year by running. I still eat the same as I did before, except I keep track of my calories, and make sure I don't go over board, but I certainly don't "diet." I run a 5k and then walk for 90 minutes on my treadmill 3 nights a week, and the other 4 nights a week- I walk for 2 hours.

1. Log honestly 2. Only log half "calories burned" on treadmill 3. Don't log weight during PMS 4. Keep treats out of the house 5. Don't stop moving

That's impressive! For reals, good job! I'm not there yet :(

What worked for me was running. It gives me the freedom to eat ALMOST whatever I want. But it's a ton of work. I run and or walk on the treadmill every night for about an hour and a half. I only log in half the calories that the treadmill says I burned, and I always add an extra 100 calories to my food diary, to make up…

A small bowl of sweet cereal, or half of a Quest bar.

I weigh everyday. I'm always up 4 pounds from the day before my period starts till several days after it ends. It sucks, but the more I get used to it, the less upsetting it is.

I'm 5'5, and weigh 119lbs. I wear a 4 (sometimes I can squeeze into a 2). I have an average body shape. At my starting weight, 161, I wore a 12.

Inspiring, thanks!

Great job! You can really see a difference!

I work out so I can eat whatever I want, not to look different. If I stop working out, I'll gain weight.

5'5 SW 161 CW 121-123 Would love to be just under 120, but I'm happy enough as long as I stay where I am. I'm not willing to give up my milkshakes just yet :)

No taste at all. I tried the cookie dough flavor, and ended up just picking out all the cookie dough pieces and throwing the rest away. Haha!

I'm 5'5 SW 161 MW 121 It took me almost exactly one year. I bought a treadmill, and started logging my calories, and haven't stopped. I'm a little more mindful of what I eat, but honestly for me, it's running that has made the difference.

How do you think I feel? Betrayed, bewildered....oh wait.... yes, I weigh during that time of the month, but I try to remember that it's about 3-5 pounds above what it actually is.

Thumbs up!

Way to go!

12/14 pants, XL tops when I started, 4 pants and S tops now.

I ate a piece of coffee cake from Einstein Bros Bagels, then looked it up later, and found that it had 800 calories!!!! It was dry and bland, and not very big. I've never wanted to make myself throw up after eating, but I almost did :(

Yes! Your tummy is tighter. Good job- keep it up!

I get upset EVERY TIME, even though I know it's just bloating. Probably because it coincides with the time of the month that I can't help but stuff my face with all the wrong things! Guilt complex :(

Dirt bag, low life, manipulative piece of crap. We were engaged and HE dumped ME! Didn't realize it at the time, but I dodged a bullet. Now, I'm super happy with my amazing husband of 12 years :)

Wow, thanks Kristenlarkin! I try not to let the camera get too close ;)

5'5" 161 to 121 Back fat was almost gone at 130. I don't keep track of body fat %. The only exercise I do is running. I've always struggled with back fat and a muffin top, and the only thing that has ever worked for me is plain old weight loss.
-
Thank you, losethewt! Lots and lots of running. It sucks, but I'd rather run and still be able to eat doughnuts and drink milkshakes ;) My diet hasn't changed much, which I'm working on now.... sort of. lol

Victoria's Secret has one called incredible sports bra. It is the best! No uniboob :) It's a little pricey, but I just wait till I get an email coupon and pay about $35.

I'm 5'5, age 40, starting weight was 161. My original goal was 129, but I'm now at 121, and very happy with this weight.

Way to go! You look great :)

I've had a lot of success with running. I didn't do very well when I concentrated on keeping my calorie intake low (1200). It led to "starving" myself and then binging :( Now, I allow myself more like 1400-1600 a day, and I run or walk on the treadmill every night, which takes me back down to the 1200 calorie goal. I've…
