  • I've thought about the nutribullet. I have a small blender I purchased at Walmart, it works ok but I would like something that chops up a bit better. Might have to look at that one. Or the Ninja.
  • I had been using Bariatric Advantage but just switch to the Isagenix Isolean vanilla and I love it! It mixes up well in the blender, no gritty taste and I can mix my berries and such with it. It's a keeper for me.
  • I'm on week seven, spent last week at Disneyworld and after six weeks of boot camp was able to enjoy my trip with the boys. We had a great time. Last night was testing at camp, walk/jog 1 mile, sit ups, push ups, squats etc. I did the whole thing, even with a bladder/kidney infection. Yes, I was sorry when I got home but…
  • had a friend get hers removed and then she had the sleeve. thinking if I can get myself under control and continue my boot camp and lose weight I'll get rid of it too. It worries me that it will erode my stomach or have other complications. always aware of it as the port bugs me when I touch it. blech. there are doctors…
  • Lori you can do this, just ask the trainer to modify if you aren't sure what to do. Key is keep moving, just like Dori in Finding Nemo. Just keep moving.
  • It was good. The ladies were very supportive and understanding and the teacher very helpful. It was outside, which I didn't like too much as it was in the 30's and I dont have that many warm things. Once I got moving I liked it and had fun. I think the teacher might be a little insane since we were outside but then it…
  • I had this issue too and made sure i bumped up my protein and veggies. My hair quit falling out and is much better. I also stopped coloring it myself, now I pay someone to do it. I was killing my hair badly. I used to use the Nioxin for noticieably thinning hair, it helped for a while. I am now using Wella for colored hair.
  • turned 50 last year and had my gall bladder out and a hystorectomy so not only is getting old sucking but missing those parts has played havoc on my system. I've gained weight and am so mad about it. I have 54 days until Disneyworld and am determined to lose 40 pounds. I know I can do it. I have to focus and keep my goal…
  • Thanks for the support everyone. I have been doing better. My company is starting a get fit challenge and we have a team here so this will be fun and help jump start me back on the right track. I've been using their tool to track my food and fitness right now so it shows up on my get fit challenge for the team. double…
  • I have the band and have been gaining weight. I let it go too long and am up 30 pounds from last year. I have bitten the bullett and made an appointment to go in and have a discussion and have my band looked at. I am embarrassed, angry and sad all at the same time about this and know that my doctor will be kind, supportive…
  • I am also banded and have found a group on here that I love. They are supportive and not judgemental about being banded, or having other weight loss surgery. You can do a search for the group and join. It is the Gastric ByPass/LapBand group. Good having you and do join that group. :)
  • i had .5 cc's taken out and immediately my back stopped hurting. so glad i did that. I am much happier. well except that a friend at work gave me her tummy bug. I ower her for that one! lol
  • i found mixed reviews for the slimcoach on the best buy boards. I think I will wait and get a different product. sounds like this one crashes alot and has other technical problems.
  • took a full 10 days to recover. This one was more difficult than the band and my other surgeries. Of course I had a lot of stones and my gall bladder was the size of a lemon apparently so he had to cut me open a bit. But if you ever have to have this expect a full 10 days for recovery and stay on the pain meds!
  • all went well with the surgery. I had over 40 stones and gallbladder the size of a lemon. I feel better already. Surgeon was impressed with the size and count of stones. lol Got to have solid food today.. It is wonderful.
  • thank you all so much, i appreciate your feedback. Not sure what a stone is in weight but I've lost 15 pounds so far in three weeks since my attack. I plan on staying on liquid for a bit longer just to be safe and then go with mushies and gradually get back to solids. definately staying with my protein shakes every day,…
  • looking at getting mine taken out soon so this information is helpful. right now just yogurt and soup and jello. yumm. Nice side effect, lost 11 pounds.
  • miss my carbs a lot. especially when hubby makes biscuits. Oh I do love bread. I picked one up the other day and just smelled it. Oh lord it was heavenly to smell it. lol
  • I've had trouble mostly because I forget to chew up the food enough. But for the longest time I couldnt do lettuce but recently had my band deflated a bit and can have that again. I'm glad because I love salads. right now having trouble with allergies and my band and stress and my band. Go on Monday and will have him take…
  • thanks for all the welcomes. i had my band refilled a week ago and i think it needs a bit taken out or i'm needing to remember to chew, chew chew. i appreciate the support here.
  • actually it isn't a quick fix, it's a tool. much like the patch for smokers and the gum for smokers. you are educated and you cannot eat whatever you want. you have to follow the diet or be sick. you have to be comitted or it doesnt work. i understand that you dont believe it works but many people have it and it works if…
  • I've been wanting to try it, it looks so fun but my fitness level is way low and I'm afraid I will only last two minutes in class. anyone jump in there after being away from the gym too long and survive?

  • not a huge fan of the macattack but I do love their egg mcmuffin now and then. I used to eat there alllll the time and had to stop the insanity. I love ice coffees from jack in the box though and i know they are loaded with calories. will have to adjust on those days and sweat more.
  • did you really just say that? people who are banded or have had other surgeries also have to work hard, work out and sweat. wow smdh
  • Many of the posters have a scary story to tell you. Here is my story. Three years ago I researched and talked to many people in my area that had the lap band done. I found my surgeon at True Results. my insurance required six months of education and testing and a few therapy sessions to make sure I was a good candidate and…
  • i need one of those and ugh black coffee. I have to have my flavored creamer. I'll forgo other calories for that in the morning.
  • wow so glad i didnt go read the comments on the article. People are so hurtful and misinformed. I have to say that I dont blame anyone for my issue and I do take full ownership but also acknowledge that there is an addictive personality trait in me and I need to curb my addiction to have a better life. I hope none of those…
  • It took me a year of research and asking questions and talking to friends who have it to make my decision. I was banded two years ago and most days I am happy about it. the days I am not happy about it are the days I try to stuff food in my mouth like I used to. So it's a great tool to have, use it wisely and follow your…

  • i come from a long line of obsessive compulsive people. my parents and sister all have the cigarette addiction, we also have alcoholics in our family. My addiction is definately food. I realized when I woke up in the morning and thought about what can i eat now I had a problem. just like an alcoholic that gets up and first…
  • thanks for the advice. last night when i was trying my kicks and not getting it and looked up at those pesky brown belts watching the class I thought to myself - you know what? they were in the same boat a while back that you're in and they're doing great. I'll get there. I really enjoy it.
