  • I have found that Schwans Frozen Mango fruit blend is amazing! Mostly because I get that and top it with fat free Cool Whip when my family eats ice cream! It is my frozen sweet treat to enjoy while the kids' enjoy theirs. Not exactly fresh, but they are flash frozen so the nutirents are retained
  • Nice replacement - is that like a sparking or carbonated water? I hadn't thought of adding my Mio to something like that - I will write it down and see if our store here carries it. Thank you!
  • I sure hope it makes a difference. I am packing on weight so fast and starting to wonder if the Diet Cokes and artifical sugars are part of the reason. Got so desperate that I ordered an online suppliment and when it came in, it was in a forgin language! I took one and it really did kill my appetite for anything -…
  • Yes - everything was homeaide. I just looked in the database and did a kind-of guesstimate. It looks like I'm only about 485 calories over for today and haven't exercized any. I do get off work in about 3 hours so that might just be some good motivation to go hit the treadmill or something - try to earn back some of those.…
  • So like guestimate based on what is in the database? That's not a bad idea!
  • When in doubt - share your meal! That is always my trick to unknowns. I find a buddy (one of the kids or a friend/ family member) and split my plate in half. If no one will share, make sure to get a "to go" box for the other half. Then I find a similar restraunt on MFP that is online and make an educated guess. Oh - and…
  • Protein bars or protein shakes are awesome. I have a smoothie that I make in the blender .. it's ice, a 1/2 cup of low fat yogert, a cup of skim milk and either a half a bananna or a cup of sliced strawberries. It's awesome after a workout and helps cool the body down. You can add calories by adding addl yogert or the…
  • As new as I am to this, I'm not sure I'm qualified to give good advise .. but I'm going to try! If I had reached that much, I'd go shopping to remind myself of the progress I'd achieved. I'd also take an old pic of myself and have it handy to remind myself of what I didn't want to go back to. Then I would take the week off…
  • Those tips about asking for my food being prepared without certian calorie hogging products that you guys posted are going to certianly come in handy! I never even thought about that. I was encouraged again tho because even after my restraunt mishap, my weigh in today went very well so it didn't hurt me too much :)
  • Yikes!! I don't even want to think about my 800 calorie lunch being 1600!! I think going out to eat is going to have to halt while I'm working so hard on this and then occationally only when I'm at the point of maintaining. Thank you :)
  • At Fort Sill :) Still a huge Longhorns fan tho!
  • Hi there! I'm pretty new to this too. There are two things that have helped me. One - this site has helped me be realistic. It tells me at the end of a day completed "If everyday were like today, you would weigh xxxx in 5 weeks". That has kept me from giving up when 10 lbs don't come off instantly. Two - Starving myself…
