4518 for me! I've pretty much been at my goal weight since 2012, but continuing to log daily keeps my little gains from becoming big gains.

Same issue for me - several days now.

Homemade cheesy ham & potato chowder, a banana, and red/yellow bell pepper strips with some ranch dip.

I've been intermittent fasting for a while now, but I don't do it for weight/fat loss - rather, I do it for the other health benefits. I have not noticed any change in my weight or body composition since starting IF, but I'm already at my goal. I will say that IF makes it pretty easy to maintain. I lost about 50 lbs in…

I like kale in salads, cooked into soups, and sauteed in olive oil. I don't care for spinach, though - so I don't eat it. Maybe try other greens until you find one you like?

I'm a backpacker. When I go on trips, I eat lots of food that is non-perishable/doesn't need refrigeration. Look at food by Good to Go, Backpackers Pantry, and Mountain House (among others). Supplement with fresh veggies and fruits that don't need refrigerated.

I'm on my 7th year of maintenance after losing about 55 pounds. I've found it pretty easy. I do log food and exercise regularly. I also take action with a small calorie cut if the scale moves 5lbs above my goal weight. It's mostly been a no-brainer. I work out most days and eat 2200 calories.

I can make better meals - both cheaper and faster - on my own. I like some of the recipe ideas from Hello Fresh and Blue Apron, but that's about it. I also dislike all the packaging - bottles, bags, boxes, and refrigeration packs. All that extra packaging is bad for the environment.

I've logged just about every single day since April 2011. It's easy for me!

My parents are both in their mid-70's. They're both very lean, healthy, and active. Their primary care physician actually suggested they both gain 5-10 pounds. Apparently, a little extra weight is good for people over 70. I'm not talking being obese, but lots of studies have shown that carrying a few extra pounds in your…

http://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2014/10/the_healthiest_diet_proven_by_science.html This article posits that the healthiest diet is no diet. That's turned out to be the most effective methodology for me when it come to eating.

Buy San-J Tamari - it's naturally gluten-free soy sauce. It tastes better than the cheap Kikkoman stuff, too.
-
I make homemade granola and eat it with yogurt. I hate eggs, too.
-
I don't think that's the case - it's always CICO. I can lose weight eating jelly beans and beer if I want (as long as I count the calories accurately and take in fewer than I burn).

This is patently untrue. Many people go their entire lives not realizing they have celiac disease. My grandmother was diagnosed at 82 (through a biopsy and bloodwork). She ate gluten her entire life, but never had clinical symptoms until she was quite elderly. The symptoms expressed themselves after she had hip replacement…

And the irony... Eggland's Best are actually crap-quality, factory farmed eggs, too. The company has been in trouble a few times for their farming practices and horrific treatment of their chickens. Do a bit of research on the company and you'll find out pretty fast that their not all they're cracked up to be!

The dog analogy is really misguided. If a person moves more, their calorie demands are going to be higher. The additional calories are not a 'treat' - they're the fuel/nutrition you need to keep your body running properly.

We have these in the U.S., too! Grocery stores have fresh-pack meals that are the same as what a person would make at home. They're not preserved or shelf-stable. They're made with fresh ingredients at the grocery store and sold the same day out of a cooler case. The other day, I was in a hurry so I got a meal from the…

I've always eaten almost all of my exercise calories. Works for me!

I don't think drinking extra water has any health benefits... it just makes you pee a lot. I don't think watching carbs is necessary (unless you have a metabolic disorder that necessitates it) I think diet soda is totally fine!

Hiking! It's really the only kind of exercise I truly 'enjoy'. I love it! Other than that, I don't mind cardio or yoga, but I *loathe* strength training with a fiery passion.

I wouldn't call it 'unfortunately'! That's how MFP is set up to work. If you're exercising, there's a good chance your body is going to need the extra fuel beyond your base calories to sustain good health and energy. I've been on maintenance since 2012 after losing 50+ pounds. When I was actively trying to lose, I always…

I think they call that a burrito?

I'm always cold! I'm so cold that I've actually been to several doctors and had lots of bloodwork done to see if there was something wrong with me. The bloodwork was all fine, so the doctors mostly chalked it up to me being lean. I also was eventually diagnosed with Raynaud's and pernio/chillblains. At least that explained…

I had a whole pizza for dinner tonight. It was homemade thin crust made with regular white flour, homemade sauce made with crushed tomatoes and olive oil, regular mozzarella cheese, regular pepperoni, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. No 'diet' ingredients! It had 629 calories and fit very easily into my daily caloric…

I lost 62 pounds in 2011! I'm about to hit my 6th MFP-anniversary. Congratulations on your long-term success. I hope I'm still at goal when I hit my 10 year mark, too. (So far, so good!)

I'm 45 years old and hit an all-time low weight of 135 pounds in 2012. My starting weight when I joined MFP was 205 and my initial UGW was 155. I hit that goal and wasn't happy, so I continued to lose. I hadn't weighed 135 pounds since I was a child (maybe 14 years old). My adult weight ranged anywhere from 145 lbs all the…

I used her 5-mile walk video when I was recovering from an illness. It got me moving, but was low-intensity and not too tiring. Leslie is really friendly and approachable! I like her workouts!

Your chiropractor might be a quack. Oatmeal is good for you and the 'sticky carbs' argument is without any merit or scientific validity.
