  • I'd say exercise is the key. I've lost 130 lbs since April 2013. Staying active is key for me. Not only does it burn calories but if I never stop, and never sit, I can't eat. I usually don't eat until after my shift is done at work like 10:30 pm. Do as I say, not as I do. I've developed a bit of an eating disorder…
  • Also, try some salad! I've become an expert salad builder. I put all sorts of stuff in like some chicken and almonds for protein, sometimes a hard boiled egg, black olives for the salt, craisins for sweetness, tomatoes, low fat cheese. I make sure I satisfy all my hunger triggers. Works really well.
  • I'm still losing and fighting this battle every day. I think I have not fully accepted that my weight loss journey is over. I'm 5' 10" and 148 and in the beginning my goal was 125 lbs. I guess I could settle for living like this if I could just find balance. Good luck to you guys.
  • OMG I started reading this and I said, OMG that sounds just like me!! It WAS me....I forgot I had posted something on this thread!!!! This disease has me so scatter brained and absent minded, I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on straight...which my trainer says it isn't, so I guess I'm lucky I still have it! :/
  • See, the thing is, my trainer wanted me to gain, I wanted to lose, so my mentality thought "well, I'll just maintain and make us both happy". Well, not so much. He's not happy. Thinks my thinking is totally twisted and that I'm pre-anorexic, actually he said anorexic but I added the pre because my weight doesn't clinically…
  • My Ah Ha moment was about 18 months ago. We were planning on attending our first WrestleMania (yeah, I'm a 52 year old wife, mom and a DIE HARD wrestling fan) at Met Life Stadium in NJ. I was told by a coworker that the parking there was awful and we better get there early or we'd have to walk about a mile to the stadium…
  • Absolutely. I went about 15 pounds under where my trainer wanted me at. He's afraid I've developed an eating disorder and I think he may be right. Be careful. Don't get hung up on the numbers. If you hit your goal, just eat more but keep it healthy and stay active. Good luck!
  • I'd like some new friends who share the same goal as me. I'd like to lose the last 20 lbs but in a healthy way with balance between diet and exercise. I'm 5'10 and 150 lbs. I've lost 128 since April of 2013. Sort of caught up a little in an eating disorder. Kind of. I don't know. That's what people tell me. Right now I'm…
  • PrismaticPixel is absolutely right. I did that to my body. I'm 5' 10" and started out at 278 18 months ago. I dieted all the way down to 142. I would have loved to stop going but my trainer stopped me and brought me back up to, well, 160, but I float usually between 155 and 160. He wants me at 165. I have a serious mental…
  • I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually have the same problem. I mean I don't think I do but my trainer, my family, coworkers and customers are all saying it. I am 5'10" and went from 278 lbs in April 2013 down to 145 this past May. At the advice of my trainer I've brought my weight up to 160 but am flip flopping…
  • I find that a good salad can contain all of the components that you crave when you are pmsing. At least it did for me. I start with a base of romaine and add tomatoes for color, olives and cheese for salty, sweet pickles for sweetness along with craisins, cucumbers and carrots for crunch. Sometimes I add croutons and my…
  • I've lost 138 lbs since April 2013. The most important pieces of advice I can give are to never give up and just keep moving. Don't just count the time you spent at the gym or outside running or walking. It all adds up. Stay off the couch and just move. Clean, shop, cook (healthy), do charity work, anything to keep moving.…
  • I am starting to get the same thing, hun. I feel your pain. I have lost 130 lbs since April of last year. People are used to seeing me fat. It's driving me crazy to hear all of these comments. I don't see it, but I'm starting to question are these people right? Also, you have to have enough muscle. That's what my trainer…
