  • so many tall lean people in this thread ! Good for you.
  • lol ... ya ... 3 large glasses of wine = entire bottle
  • yes, it's pretty messed up that we can't get support from loved ones - or then there's people like my sister who calculate and announce the calorie content of everything I eat when I don't even ask ! I think my boyfriend's influence is part of the reason I've gained weight ...he loves and has cookies and other sweets in…
  • yes ! Olives are a good source of calcium, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin K, olives also provide some magnesium, phosphorous and potassium. Though viewed as high in fat, it's the "healthy" monounsaturated fat. I eat a handful of pitted kalamata olives almost every night. A nice sweet & savory snack is a…
  • I haven't said anything to my boyfriend ... he sees the efforts I'm putting in with my workouts and exercise comes first now - I'll meet him for a drink AFTER I work out ... and I'm asking him to prepare his own meals more often now as I am pretty much doing salads every night (though I do encourage him to have salads with…
  • 1 cup coconut water 1/2 cup frozen pineapple tidbits 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks 2 kale stocks (leaves only) 1 tablespoon chia seeds 1 tablespoon ground flax (makes 1 serving) blend for about 2 minutes. so yummy and healthy I make 2 each morning and have 1 for breakfast and another for lunch.
  • You can add me ! I'm 50 and would like to lose 50. I was so motivated during the summer, then slacked a bit but am back and 200% motivated this time. Trying hard to focus on exercise as #1 priority this time ... Started seriously on Saturday and feel so much better already.
  • cooked oatmeal with 1/2 banana sliced into it grape nuts with 1/2 banana sliced into it, with almond milk, heated in microwave toast a piece of whole wheat or other high-fiber bread with 1 or 2 tablespoons nut butter of your choice and/or 1/2 banana smooshed onto it.
  • what is PB2?
  • Last night I made this (not a smoothie, more like a Wendy's Frostie): 1 frozen banana 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 tablespoon almond butter 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder a few semi-sweet chocolate chips blend all together. Yum !

  • that's what she said
  • I was craving a Five Guys burg recently ... but I went to my local grocery store instead and got some gr. turkey patties, fresh tomato, lettuce, etc., some beautiful whole wheat buns and made my own, along with home-made baked sweet potato fries.
  • Kashi Heart to Heart with almond milk baby carrots strawberries a couple of slices of deli roast beef saltine crackers cheese grapes tuna cottage cheese immitation crab hard boiled egg 1/2 avocado I try to do a different thing every day so it doesn't get boring.
  • I do ! I don't always log as I don't want to eat back the calories all the time, ya know ? I guess tonight I will put in a good workout so I can eat a good dinner. :)
  • I really haven't felt deprived or hungry eating 1200 until today. I'm also guessing the orzo wasn't as calorie laden as what I logged as it had asparagus and some other real tasty leafy veg and definitely was not a full 1/2 cup. But, I'd rather log for too many calories, than too little.
  • oh, I know all about PB and calories...which is why I choose Jiff Whipped. I know I didn't have 2 "full" tablespoons today, but logged it as that anyways. The PB toast is kind of the highlight of the morning, so I don't want to give it up! :)
  • definitely get something new. wear black - it's slimming and flattering on everybody invest in some spanx (or something similar) - sucks you in don't fret - you are doing amazing ! keep up the good work you probably look better than you think you do.
  • Diary open. I try to eat around 1200 a day - I set it low to give allowances for logging "mistakes" - you know...maybe I ate 7 oz chicken and not 6 oz chicken last night - that kind of thing.
  • I have that one too, I love it ! I use it for smoothies and much more. I suggested the NutriNinja as it's made for smoothies. You make them in the same to-go cup as you drink them from.
  • NutriNinja, about $80.
  • 1/2 grapefruit hard boiled egg sauted veggies w/scrambled eggs Greek yogurt 1/2 avocado (not all of these things together, pick 1 or two). :)
  • How about some encouragement instead of ridicule ? Maybe if you haven't got something nice to say, say nothing. ;)
  • recipe ?

  • I have a decaf Chia tea and a small square of chocolate (Hersey's Special Dark miniature) usually does the trick.
  • You bet ! You can have a 3 oz. steak during the 3-day "on". Or whatever kind of steak you want on the 4-day "off". lol ... fruit and toast make you sad. Makes me happy.
  • This ! I'm loving 1/2 grapefruit and toast n peanut butter some mornings, Other than the hot dog and ice cream choices, I think the military diet is pretty balanced. I don't believe the bit about the particular combos triggering fat burn, or anything like that. I have been enjoying everything I'm eating !
  • People should do what works for them. As I said, I'm not following the Military Diet exactly by any means - just using it as a guide. I've tried WW a few times with 0 results. This formula works for me (and others) so why ridicule ?
  • it's 3 days on, 4 days off for however as long as you want
