  • I wear one of those bodymedia calorie tracker armbands and I can tell you that I burn more calories walking around the mall shopping for a couple hours than I do at the gym for an hour. So yeah, walking will work :-)
  • It's not so much that they shouldn't make minimum wage, it's more about fair working conditions and livable wage/hours. Minimum wage isn't a liveable wage in most states and then to top it off the fast food places only give their workers about 10 hours a week but they make their schedules sporadically making it very hard…
  • Walking is fine, in fact the other day I skipped the gym and went shopping instead. I spent so much time walking around the stores downtown then I ended up burning more calories than I would have at the gym (I was wearing my calorie tracker thing so I know for a fact)
  • I'm 28 and I still dress exactly the same as I did when I was 16, I still shop at hot topic and my body is the same as when I was 16 so it looks no different really. However it probably helps that I look young and get mistaken for a 19 year old on a daily basis.
  • It depends. I met my boyfriend online, and we've been together for 4 years and are very compatible. However, I also met 2 of my exes online. The big difference between my current and my exes is that they were long distance and he was local. LDR's don't work.
  • Yup, neither of us have lock codes and generally use each others phones for things when one is charging or something. I have nothing to hide, and neither does he.
  • I despise country.. but I don't hate Johnny Cash, but I don't think he really counts. I still hate all other country.
  • As a woman, I hate high heels, I can't walk in them and I feel stupid when I try to wear them. I much prefer a pair of combat boots.
  • My old company decided we were going to rent a booth at a 98 Degrees concert for promotional reasons. I had to work the booth for about 6 hours and it was mid August and outdoors, and it was dreadful.
  • A combination of things. Mostly, I'm an engineer and a gamer. I spend most of my time sitting at a desk and I despised physical activity other than walking around the city and dancing. Also I'm a caffeine junkie with a weakness for lattes. I never really overeat except for the occasional chinese food binge, which was only…
  • Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. TIL that I am a size 8 in Marc Jacobs, but a size 10 in H&M and a size 13 in most juniors pants. I guess I'll probably just stick with the 13s for now since the majority of womens sized pants have the "mom jean" waist that I despise lol. But I feel a little better
  • Thanks for the suggestions, I guess I'll try checking out some different stores and try on some misses sized pants.. hopefully I can find the same styles I like.
  • It's not really my hips though, my size 13 pants are quite loose around the stomach/hips area, though I do have somewhat wide hips, it's really just my thighs that are the problem.
  • According to a lot of people 13 US is plus sized, and I seem to be 13 in most brands I've tried. I tried buying a size 9 as my goal pants and I try to fit into them once a week and still not there, can't get my thighs through >< Also I'm pretty sure I did gain muscle as I'm a lot stronger now and I've been lifting 4 times…
  • The style of clothes I prefer to wear don't usually come in misses sizes, and I guess I'm probably not the same shape as those other girls, I'm more of an hourglass shape. It's just super frustrating, I'd like to not be considered plus sized anymore ><
  • It was my character name in Everquest (tholuxe paells represent!) It kinda stuck with me over the years and I've used it in every mmo I've ever played, it's kind of become my alias and Xim has become my real life nickname.
  • Some people just aren't morning people, it's not that big of a deal if you can force yourself to work out later in the day to make up for the mornings you sleep in.
  • If you just recently started working out your body is going to retain water for a while. Try drinking more water to help flush out some of the water weight, and just give it time. If after a couple of weeks it still isn't budging then maybe you should reassess your caloric intake.
  • It is quite hard on the knees yeah. There are modified versions of most of the moves though and if you can't do a certain thing because of your knees you could always just fill that exercise with something else you can do.
  • Not a wise decision. If you skip breakfast you will slow down your metabolism. I know what it's like not being a morning person, I just do protein shakes. I have one of those shaker cup things so it takes literally 2 minutes to make breakfast on my way out the door. Try doing something like that to at least give your body…
  • I think I must be the only person in the world that doesn't like bacon.
  • Nay, I am trying to stay away from processed foods as much as possible and putting something in me just full of artificial sweeteners and colors seems counterproductive to trying to live a healthy lifestyle. Personally, I just gave up soda unless it's one of the fancy all natural ones, which are super expensive so they are…
  • I for one can't do it. I tried for a few days and it was awful. I've always been a night owl, I go to sleep no earlier than 1 am when I have to work in the morning and on the weekends it's sometimes as late as 6-7 am. Honestly I like it that way, I like staying up all night as that's just the way I am. I just force myself…
  • I like the tattoo idea, but if that's not your thing how about spending the day at a waterpark? You get to show off your new amazing body in a swimsuit and have fun cause waterparks are awesome.
  • If you figure out how to succesfully approach it let me know. I'm in a similar situation, I work full time and my partner stays at home all day. We don't have children, he literally spends the whole day playing videogames/browsing reddit and "cleaning" I come home to a disaster every day despite the fact that he says he…
  • Honestly I don't think it's worth it. Gym equipment is expensive and takes up a lot of space. You can get an effective workout by just buying some dumbbells and a yoga mat and doing bodyweight training/cardio. For cardio you can do the following: Jog in place Butt kicks jump rope (you don't even need a jump rope you can…

  • Haha I wish, nope no pools around me.
  • I have 2, one on my right should and one on the back of my neck. I plan on getting more but need to save up as I want to go to a very good artist and they are pricey lol.

  • You should probably be aiming for at least 1200 depending on your activity level. I really do suggest getting a food scale, and also be careful not to drink your calories. Personally for me with the 30 day shred the first day was painful, and when I was done my legs felt like jello, the next day I was extremely sore, but…
