My partner actually wanted to lose some pounds as well and I tried everything to make it easy for him- showed him MFP, started 102 different diets and meal plans, tried to get him into couples personal training or swimming and bought a bunch of workout DVDs like P90X and JM. Nothing seems to work and he is actually gaining…

I agree with taking it slow for now. Find something you like doing as long as you keep moving. There are loads of youtube videos from zumba to hiphop abs and other fun stuff where you dont feel the exercise as such but still burn loads of calories! Also try and use your dumbells for some strength and weights training. This…

I totally agree! With a diet, you will only lose temporarily until you stop and then over time you will gain the weight back. You have to change your attitude to food and exercise. Try and make it fun to look for new low fat food or low cal recipes. Search for workouts that you enjoy like Zumba or walking. MFP is a great…

Hey there, I just started week 5 and the guys are right, some of the stuff is still pretty tough but you get through it. I found push up bars a great help and you will be able to do more and more along the way. Im not messing around with the pull ups at home so Im using the bands and do a couple of pull ups at the gym.…

That really depends on how you eat and how high your fat intake per day is in general. I know a lot of people who are on a low carb diet and take in a lot more (good) fats therefore. You can adjust your goals manually, however since we cannot see ur diary its really hard to say. And yes, butter and chocolate should be kept…

I started logging it as circuit training which was recommended by someone on mfp. Mfp gives u about 10 cal per minute but when I started using an HRM i found that the burn is only about 400 cals per work out. But then it also depends on the intensity that you do... Inbox me if you have more questions...

I got mine from beurer and it comes with a chest strap and a bike mount. It tells you how many calories you have burned and how much fat you have lost and can save up to 100h of workout and its results. You can also put in your personal data and which HR Zones you want to stay in so it alerts you once you get out of your…

Day 13 for me with Kenpo X :)

Your net calories can only be negative if you are working out more than you are eating. So your net calories should always be positive! The calories on your food diary can only be negative if you are eating more than your recommended calorie intake (daily goal + workout calories). So you might wanna try to keep those…
