  • HI Barb- He does all those activities with me, but it is winter in Minnesota, about 20 degrees out. We used to hike a few hours a day. It is more the eating that is the problem. I never see him so when I do meals feel like an event.

  • Wow you guys exercise a lot! 30DS plus running and zumba?!? When I used to run thats all I needed...I barely weighed anything! But cant do that anymore so thought would give this a go. Hopefully someone who reads this wants to start tomorrow so I have some teammates to keep me moving!

  • My friend is obsessed with it! She is vegan and eats it a ton. Its all about experimenting and finding what works for you as far as recipes. I have eaten it on homemade pizza and it was tasty.
  • I feel your pain! I have been eating 1200 calories daily and working at 5 times a week and some days the scale says I gained weight and others it says it is the same as when I started. Makes me want to give up. Why kill myself trying to eat healthy and light when I can eat WHATEVER I want and weigh the same!

  • Same here. 60 minutes of this gives a medium range of what I looked up online for average calories burned during Zumba. As far as exercise logging....MFP is really whack....hardly and options.
  • Always have some by you....side of the bed....coffee table while watching tv...on ur desk at work. Then you will see it and think to take a sip here and there!
  • I would suggest rice or almond milk. If she drinks that large amount of milk a day, it should not be either cow or soy as they are both usually high in hormones. Soy has natural estrogen I think, but it is still added hormones that a young person doesnt need in excess.
  • Also, iced coffee is very low cal and drinking it cold cuts thru the bitter taste of coffee sometimes. I take a cup of iced coffee (toddy at most coffee shops), 1 tbsp maple syrup, and a dash of soy milk. Super delicious and refreshing for very little calories.
  • To sweeten naturally you could use a little honey or maple syrup. They still have a few calories, but less than chocolate, and no chemicals like the artificial sweeteners. A little of either of these goes a long way, so for a couple shots espresso you would only need like 1/2 tsp to sweeten it up!
