  • Park at the opposite end of the parking lot / take the stairs / if you use public transit, get off a couple stops from your usual stop and walk the rest of the way / ride your bike to work. Log all your food (good and bad), keep a journal and highlight the bad foods and watch them decrease over time!
  • EVERY DAY! I am at my goal, and I need to know every morning how much I weigh, so I can adjust my calorie intake for the day.
  • Lose 5 lbs – in a month : Either you're just above your healthy weight goal, or you just want to try to start off small, whatever your challenge, here's one way to go about it: 1. Commit to 30 minutes of activity every day. Walking is easiest to incorporate. 2. Cut out one or two unhealthy foods you eat every day for the…
  • Losing the weight was the "easy" part. You just eat less! But trying to maintain the weight is a lot of hard work, trying to find the right combination of eating and exercising to stay the same weight. Thanks !
  • I am a KOPS so my gain/loss is very minimul. My 2013 starting weight is 167. My leeway is 163-173. Good luck to all in 2013!
  • I was expecting you to look horrible, but you look fantastic. I wouldn't want to bulk up any more, but continue to maintain your current exercise routine. Be proud of what you have accomplished.
  • I am 5'9" also. The difference is that I'm 53. At my heaviest I was 205lbs. I am now a very comfortable 163 lbs. It took me over a year to loose 40lbs (longer, if you count the yo-yo dieting). I started in Jan/09 and lost 20 lbs on my own. I joined TOPS in Sept/10 and lost the other 20lbs by the end of June/11. I look and…

  • I too am from Ontario Canada. I have been a memeber of MFP for a few months, but just decided to take advantage of the message boards today. I am finding the posts to be very fun and informative. I hope I can be here for a long time, and that I can help others as well.
  • A bit about myself. My name is Cindy, and I belong to chapter ON 034 in Hamilton Ontario. I have struggled with my weight my whole adult life. I am 52yrs old and have 2 adult children (ages 29 & 27 this yr) no grandchildren, but I have a 2yr old Shi-tzu puppy named Gibson. I have been married to Jeff (my 2nd husband) for…
  • Hi ladies. I'm Cindy and I've been on MFP for many months now. I also belong to TOPS. I reached my goal weight in June 2011, so now I must maintain my weight. I've been doing a pretty good job so far. I've managed to stay about 4 pounds below my goal. It is a daily struggle for me, as I still have such a sweet tooth. I've…
  • I have a good Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I have a couple snacks inbetween each meal. I eat every 2-3 hours. My day starts at 6:00am and ends at 11:00pm. That is a long time between dinner and breakfast. You need something, even a little bowl of cereal, before going to bed.
