My overall goals for 2015 are: * Ideally lose 15-20 lbs. but the overall goal is to lose fat and gain muscle so if this means I weigh more, then so be it. I will accomplish this by: -Body Pump, Stronglifts 5x5, Yoga and some cardio -Drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily -Eating 80% clean and 20% dirty -Sleep 7-8 hours a…

I think it was the Easter challenge that got me going last year as well, but I fell off the boards around August this year. I think I got so busy with work and life that I logged into MFP but that's about it. For those who don't know me, my name is Beth and I'm 36 years old. I have 3 kids, my youngest son is 9, my daughter…

http://healthyliving.azcentral.com/handheld-bodyfat-monitors-work-10637.html We did follow strict protocol when testing it. I'm pretty sure the actual body fat percentage might have been off. But I chose to focus on the change in the numbers. You're right though, there probably is a room for error, but still it's trending…

I've pretty much kind of stopped losing. I fluctuate where I'm gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. Had some health issues come up a bit recently and am trying to work through those, so hopefully will start seeing a loss again, or some movement on the inches lost, anything!

I use map my fitness to log some stuff too and it grossly overestimates calories burned. If you are planning on using that to accurately track your energy expenditures, it's going to be way off. This only matters if you are eating back all your exercise calories though. If so, then you could be eating more than your TDEE.…

Went to Colorado Springs on Sunday and got together with some friends I hadn't seen for about 4 years. It was really great, but I had too many Mai Tai's and Wine. The last couple days have kind of been a wash since I got back Monday night but I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I'm not giving up on my goals!

Hello, can you please add me to the spreadsheet? Thank you.

Welcome! I started the Stronglifts program in May and have really been enjoying it. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

I'm still around but keep forgetting to check in here! I was doing a challenge up until July 24th that had me at the gym every day. On days off of Stronglifts I just did a small amount of cardio. I've only missed 2 days of Stronglifts on my S, T, Th schedule and that was due to being up in the mountains at a Camp. Back to…

Have we started another challenge yet?

If the squat rack isn't being used, I put the low bars down on the lowest setting and it's about perfect for setting the bar on to do the barbell rows. At least that's what I did until I figured out about bumper weights. I also do the OHP in the squat rack with the higher bars adjusted where they need to be, as long as no…

Hello! I started the SL's program in May but got sick and took 20 days off in June. I have done 18 Stronglifts workouts so far and am looking forward to many more.

Glad you aren't leaving us for good. Good luck on the Strong IV Life program!

@maryetamfp welcome! @KaterinaTerese sorry you didn't get your full workout in. Sounds like a whole lot of drama for sure! @noaecker welcome, so great to see some more newbies around here! @willrun4bagels, welcome back from vacation! Sounds like you made do but I'm sure it feels great to be able to do your full routine…

Wow, I guess I better catch up on my check-ins. July 1st: Stronglifts 5x5 (A): Squats = warmup + 5x5@100#, Bench Press = warmup + 3x5@80#, failed on my 4th set and only managed 4 without a spotter, continued with my last set of 5 with a spotter, Barbell row = warmup + 5x5@70#. I also walked the dog for a quick 11 minutes…

I count the seconds in my head, go get a drink of water, watch other gym goers, etc.

Hello and welcome! I just started my Stronglifts journey in May! I'm sorry I don't know about the Smith machine. That's sad that the gym doesn't have a squat rack. Congrats on the weight lost so far!
-
I missed 20 days. I was surprised but I was still able to stick to my squat weight and actually upped my bench weight by 5 lbs. I backed off just a little bit on my barbell rows by 10 lbs. I just went in and trusted my instincts on it. Good luck!

Count me in for the next challenge! :drinker:

I lost 7 lbs. this challenge. I'm feeling okay with that!

Hi cjl2535, I'm new to Stronglifts as of May and I was doing Body Pump 3 times a week. I've started doing the Stronglifts program on Sun, Tue and Thu and then choosing to cut back my Body Pump to either a Friday morning or a Saturday morning depending on how I'm feeling. I'm not sure how heavy you were going in BP, but for…

My goal was a bit unobtainable but I know now that I need to make it an end of the year goal and focus on about a 1/2 lb. a week loss. I'm going to continue to work towards gaining strength and perfecting my workout schedule as well as reining in my eating habits to a healthier standard. I logged in for the 181st day today…

SW: 188 New Year Weight: 183 CSW: 162.5 LW: 158 CW: 155.5 No loss this week but I had some splurges at the drive-in movies and then again camping. I'm enjoying my summer and not worried if the weight is coming off slower. Yesterday I got a couple personal records at my lifting session. 100# on my squats and 95# on my…

We went camping Friday so I missed a Stronglifts session. I did it Wednesday after taking a couple weeks off and I was so sore for a couple extra days. Thursday I took my kids to this new trampoline place in town and that was a workout. I had to show them how to cross a rope/wooden bar ladder over a foam pit which was all…

So just started feeling better and figured I'd get back to it on Sunday and wouldn't you know, TOM shows up with major cramping and moodiness. Then yesterday I was supposed to go for the 2nd workout this week and things seemed to happen and the day was over. I finally realized that I was probably making pathetic excuses so…

SW: 188 New Year Weight: 183 CSW: 162.5 LW: 158 CW: 155.5 Loss this week: 2.5 lbs. Finally saw a breakthrough. Unfortunately, it was probably because I've been sick all week. But I'll take it!

I've been struggling these past 2 weeks. Last week was VBS volunteeering and watching extra kids and before I knew it the week was over and I hadn't gotten my gym time in. Then Saturday I went on a great, strenuous hike around 11,000 ft. but I noticed my throat started hurting in that elevation as we slogged uphill…

Fantastic! You look great and I bet you feel great too!
