I don't eat meat either, so I do rely on whey protein to help meet my protein goal. I use Diesel Whey. You can buy it on bodybuilding.com- its delicious, low carb, low cal, and sweetened with Stevia :)

If you can eat it, you can weigh it!! It's really the only way to ensure accuracy. It's SO easy to underestimate your portion sizes

LOVE grapefruit. It's really yummy if you put cinnamon on it and then put it in the oven on broil for a few minutes. Soooooo good!!
-
I also love cize and do it daily. I also lift weights and am seeing great results with that combo.
-
Great tip! Thanks for sharing

I only workout at home. I lift heavy weights 3x/week and I do Cize daily. I hate cardio but LOVE this workout. It's a lot of fun. It really depends what your goals are. I would recommend to ANYBODY that will listen, that they lift weights but Cize is definitely a fun program that gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat!

Lifting weights while in a deficit will help maintain your lean body mass. Plus, it makes you look HOT ;)

I agree with all of the above posters. Cutting your calories by 1000 a day is probably too aggressive to start. Try to gradually cut them. Start with 500 and if that feels ok, cut back further to 750. At that rate, you should lose a pound a week. Slow and steady :) Good luck!

This is such a helpful thread! I'm in the same boat and feeling a bit frustrated. Obviously, I need to be more patient and take a good hard look at my macros. Thanks for posting (and for all the helpful responses)

Definitely add some resistance training in there! Muscle buns fat, so it's a really important component of weight loss! Good luck, I know how frustrating plateaus are.

Saving this so I can make 25 or so batches later ;)

I am on week 3 of insanity and got great results on my second fit test! Add me if you like :)

I'm starting my third week and loving (hating lol) it. Use the nutrition guide to figure out your daily caloric needs and use that as your guide. Can you even fit something small in between breakfast and lunch? Like a protein bar?? It's important to keep your metabolism going and your body will definitely need the fuel!…

It's likely you will gain most.. If not all.. back in the next few days. I had the stomach flu a few weeks ago and dropped 7 lbs overnight. It all came back. You lose a lot of water, so as soon as you start eating and drinking again your weight should go back up. Hope you're feeling better

Truly inspiring transformations here. Congrats to all!!

I'm half way through week 2 and am completely in love! Make sure you take a before picture and measurements. Don't rely too heavily on the scale....you will build a lot of muscle and the scale will reflect that. Better to gauge your success by inches lost instead. Also, I'm hearing it's very important to follow the meal…

Hi :) I can't see your diary... Is it only open to friends? Are you weighing everything you eat? Estimating or measuring isn't usually accurate enough. A food scale is pretty inexpensive and takes all the guess work out. You may be way underestimating your calories OR overestimating and not eating enough. Good luck!

Welcome and huge congrats on your weight loss so far. Incredible start! Feel free to add me if you would like. I log daily :)
-
I'm 5'1... Can I play too? :) I would like to lose another 25 lbs
-
Incredibly inspiring! Thanks ladies and way to go!!!
-
Thanks for all your input (and articles!) Awesome advice!
-
Hi! You can add me if you would like. I am also a busy mom of two little ones. I log everyday, for better or for worse ;)
-
Hahaha. This is definitely right up my alley ;)
-
Absolutely agree. It can be so discouraging. Exercise, eat well, and be patient. If you're doing that, results will come. Weigh yourself just often enough to ensure you're moving in the right direction :)

Welcome :) MFP is great when used right. It typically sets daily calories at 1200, which is almost always way too low. Figure out your TDEE and BMR (google it and find calculators), then subtract about 20% from that to get yourself in a healthy deficit. Snack regularly on healthy, high protein foods to keep you full…
-
Also true!! If you cut your carbs too low, you will have nowhere to go if you plateau. ( edited for spelling)

Good morning. I have just started logging consistently and have opened my diary. Feel free to have a look. Not sure how much protein you're eating, but would highly recommend eating something high in protein every 3 hours or so (cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, chicken, whey). It has been a game changer for me... Never get…

Add me if you would like :) I'm always looking for good motivational friends as well and hope to lose another 30 lbs
